Nostalgic Parenting Days
Today, I am babysitting my grandchild while my daughter takes a certification exam.
I asked my partner to join us, and we spent half the day playing at the community center.
My grandchild was excited even before we entered the facility, and as soon as we got inside, they were overjoyed by the play equipment.
There were play structures that allowed them to touch, tap, run around, use their eyes, and play with their whole body.
We had lunch at a family restaurant, eating whatever we liked, and in the afternoon, we watched a Sumikko Gurashi mini-movie at the planetarium.
They got hooked on the slide at the outdoor park and went down it over and over again.
They enjoyed all the play equipment, and just as it started to drizzle, we got ready to head home.
Looking back, I felt nostalgic, remembering how I used to take my own children around to play like this over 25 years ago.
Even so, babysitting requires stamina; just watching them left me exhausted.
I realized I need to get some moderate exercise to maintain my physical strength.
