Growth Record from 1st to 6th Grade of Elementary School
It feels like she just started school the other day, but my eldest daughter will be graduating from elementary school in just a few months.
Though she is clumsy and forgetful, she worked hard at English and entered various writing contests and competitions, starting with book reports.
It was a challenge with her ulterior motive of winning prize money clearly visible... but unfortunately, she didn't quite make it to the prize money...
Just when I think she's grown up, she forgets to close her water bottle lid, soaking her tote bag. She comes home with it dripping.
Watching her like that has changed me as a parent too.
The difference in a parent's mindset from when they first enter school to when they are about to graduate.

In the end, since things get lost or treated roughly, I've started choosing things that won't hurt my wallet or my heart if they break or go missing!
She lost her GPS again today!
It was eventually found, but...
When she was in first grade, she treated her school bag so poorly...
“It cost 68,000 yen, so please take care of it!!”
I don't know how many times I said that...
The changes in parent and child (father and daughter) over six years.

Unfortunately... her forgetfulness hasn't been cured.
The other day, when we were out, I got separated from my eldest daughter and was desperately looking for her while checking the GPS.
I had completely forgotten that I had bought my eldest daughter a smartphone... I could have easily met up with her if I had just called. I was shocked at myself!!
And my eldest daughter was also busily taking out her lunch bag late on Sunday night...
It's a scene that hasn't changed at all since she was in first grade.
Growth Record from 1st to 6th Grade of Elementary School: Summary
Thank you for reading this far.

This time, it was about the changes in my eldest daughter over her six years of elementary school.
She hasn't outgrown being forgetful, but as a parent, as long as she grows up healthy, that's fine by me.
Thank you for reading until the end.
