Time [What is taken for granted is not always so]
Eldest daughter: "I finally realized that 19:00 is 7 PM just like that! 😊"
That's what my first-year middle school daughter told me.

Me: "Hasn't that been causing problems in your daily life until now?"
Eldest daughter: "Not at all!! I remember that 15:00 is 3 PM, so I was just calculating from there!"
Oh... I see... Her school grades are actually quite good. I never imagined she couldn't read a clock instantly...
Why she became able to read it
My daughter thought, "I can figure it out if I calculate, so I don't need to memorize it!" (That's not good, is it?)
However, she has been watching live game streams lately, and they start at 19:00.
If she gets it wrong, she can't watch! That was a problem. So she made sure to learn it properly.
Learning is faster through fandom activities or things you love than just studying, isn't it?
I wonder if I should have taught her this properly when she was little...
I want to make sure my second daughter, who will be an elementary school student next year, can read it without calculating.
Time [What is taken for granted is not always so]: Summary
Thank you for reading this far.

This time it was a story about my eldest daughter and the clock.
I learned that things I take for granted are not necessarily taken for granted by others!
Thank you for reading until the end.
