[New 7th Grader] Pre-enrollment Math Materials and How to Spend Spring Break
Good morning.
Today, when I woke up, my eldest daughter was already at her desk studying math.
After I went into the kitchen and put away the dry dishes, I started my own studies too.
When I finished studying, I went to ask my eldest daughter what she wanted for breakfast.
Today's breakfast is a bacon lettuce sandwich.
Just as my eldest daughter and I finished eating breakfast, my second daughter crawled out like a zombie, and my partner woke up with sleepy steps.
This is our family's style during spring break.
So, this time, I will introduce how my eldest daughter, who is entering 7th grade, spends her spring break and the math materials she uses.
[New 7th Grader] How to spend spring break before enrollment
My eldest daughter's spring break routine looks something like this:
・Wake up between 5:00 and 6:00 AM
・App-based learning until her brain starts working
・After about 10 minutes, she starts studying math as her main focus
・As mealtime approaches, she completes her Study Sapuri missions
・After eating, she brushes her teeth while watching Study Sapuri
・If she has no errands, she studies until she finishes her daily quota
・After finishing her quota, she is free to play games, read books, or go out.
Introduction to 7th-grade math materials for my eldest daughter

"Understand," "Can do," "Master" She is following this classic three-step process.
Materials for [Understanding]
A thick, dictionary-like reference book that my eldest daughter uses for advance learning. (It covers all three years of junior high school in this one volume, so I don't have to buy a new one for 8th grade, 9th grade, etc. every year, which makes it feel like a good value.)
It is explained carefully in conversational language, so it is not a material that takes as much time as its thickness suggests.
She plans to finish the entire three-year junior high school curriculum before enrollment.
When she doesn't understand something, she watches Study Sapuri.
Materials for [Being able to do]
You won't truly 'master' it unless you actually solve the problems, so I will have her work through a workbook.
When my eldest daughter says she wants to solve problems, I print out worksheets like the ones below for her to work on.
Apps for [Mastery]
Introduced in the article below
The app Vulpe.

This way, she knows exactly how much she needs to do each day.
[New 7th Grader] Pre-enrollment Math Materials and How to Spend Spring Break: Summary
Thank you for reading this far.

In this post, I introduced how my eldest daughter is spending her spring break before entering junior high school, as well as the math reference books and workbooks she is using.
I think any reference book or workbook is fine as long as it helps you 'understand,' 'solve,' and 'master' the material.
I hope my eldest daughter's way of spending spring break serves as a helpful reference.
Thank you for reading until the end.
