Gorilla Parent and Child and Drumming
When living a normal life, conflicts can arise between parents and children.
And most of the causes boil down to "listening", or "saying what you want to say".
The other day, there was some back-and-forth, and a lecture time for my eldest daughter began.
It seems I have a habit of beating my chest when I say, "Just thinking about it won't get your point across to the other person."
A gesture meaning it's not reaching their heart??
Hearing that sound, my second daughter in the next room asked,
Second daughter: "Mom, what's that sound?"
Partner: "That's not hitting your sister, it's just the Papa Gorilla's drumming, so you don't need to worry, ugh."
Second daughter: "Got it, ugh."
The door was slightly ajar, and since we heard that exchange...
My eldest daughter and I had no choice but to walk out while beating our chests.
