Tokushimaru Diary: Friday, October 25, 2024
[Sales: 103,557 yen]
[Weather: Cloudy]
[High Temperature: 21°C]
For the past few days,
the store has been offering slightly smaller packs of nigiri sushi for 500 yen as an advertised special.
Even though they're smaller,
they contain a solid lineup of 8 pieces including tuna, squid, salmon, egg,
negitoro (minced tuna with green onion), sea bream, shrimp, and scallop.
It's a proper nigiri sushi set.
Since it's 500 yen, I think I would buy it even if I were a customer.
Maybe I should take these on my Tokushimaru route too.
They'd probably sell.
But nigiri sushi is very risky.
The expiration date is very short,
and it's a product that's difficult to return to the store if it doesn't sell.
So if I take them,
I have to be prepared to either sell them all or buy them myself if they're left over.
Hmm... it's been getting cooler lately, so
maybe I'll work up the courage and try taking some!
Better to regret doing it than regret not doing it!
Why am I assuming I'll regret it!
With that in mind,
I took 4 packs yesterday and 3 packs today.
They sold out immediately.
Everyone really does love nigiri sushi.
I should have brought more...
However, as someone entering their third year with Tokushimaru, I know better.
If I get carried away by this and start next week thinking,
"They'll sell, they'll sell, nigiri sushi will sell!"
and get all excited to bring 5 or 6 packs,
they won't sell.
That's just how it goes.
At most, one or two packs will sell,
and I'll end up buying a large amount of nigiri sushi
and eating it for dinner while saying,
"Why..."
I know this because it's from personal experience.
