I finally managed to finish it!
I'm relieved I didn't end up being a 'will make it' fraud.

It started with the tote bag dismantling show

This is the final part of the 'Remaking it!' trilogy.

You can enjoy this main part even more if you read the 'Preparation Edition' and 'Cutting Edition' first.

First, the preparation edition!

The cut materials

We're starting from here this time.

The raw edges are fuzzy, so I'll apply Tokonole to them.

Just this improves the visual quality.
Conversely, leaving them raw allows you to enjoy the leather's atmosphere more.
That part is up to your preference.

I'll roughen the surfaces to be glued with sandpaper to increase adhesion.

This glue is quick-drying.
It dries as I apply it.

Is it okay for it to dry!?
You might think that, but it's okay.

How to use this glue is,
apply it to both materials to be bonded, and press them together after it dries.
After sticking them together, I'll hit them with a hammer.

Oh no!
I forgot to take a picture of the important hole-punching process (crying).

Once I've punched the holes for the needle, I'll sew it together.
It's all hand-sewn.
(Someone is welcome to buy me a sewing machine)

For hand-sewing in leathercraft, you attach a needle to both ends of the thread.
You start from the middle of the thread and sew by crossing the needles.
Interesting, isn't it?

Once sewn, I sand the bonded edges and finish them with Tokonole.

Well then, shall I reveal the finished product?
Here it is!

It's a book cover for a paperback-sized book!

Well, I made it with the Kitamura logo in mind (lol).

However, it doesn't end here this time!
I'm going to make one more item!

The process is basically the same as the book cover, so I'll skip it.

The edges don't look quite right like this...

I colored them black.
