02■Please forgive me for my neglect over these 35 years

It was last spring, in 2023, that I was finally able to show my face at the acoustic live cafe "Arte Sakiyama" in Shuri, Okinawa.
I stopped by during my travels and was allowed to sing a few songs.
But at that time, it ended with just a little bit of conversation.
This May, when a friend living in Okinawa went to see a friend's live performance,
the fact that they talked about me to Miyako-san from Arte became a major turning point,
and the conversation suddenly became very concrete.
When I looked at Arte's schedule,
by pure coincidence, the name of Himeji's songstress "Kano-chan"
was on November 1st.
Oh, November 1st, I can make it!
Something is happening, isn't it?
Yeah, yeah, that's great.
They said they were just adjusting the booking partner at that moment.
And then, the pieces clicked into place,
and in the end, it became a two-man live show.
Many friends, both old and new, came to see us.
Thank you so much. I am truly grateful.
Thanks to everyone, while looking at all your faces,
I was able to sing happy songs with a calm heart.
Thank you for all the souvenirs as well.
We all enjoyed the delicious "Iijima Umugamuchi" together.
We were able to share the happiness.
Kano-chan is a singer-songwriter with nerves of steel, having sung all over the country.
Holding a YAMAHA dreadnought in her small body,
her expression, which uses the dynamics of both her singing voice and guitar resonance freely,
is truly wonderful.
I wonder how far she will go from here.
Since she is almost the same age as my own daughter,
I feel completely like a parent (though being an older brother would be fine too).
So, I went with these songs for my set.

Recently, it's been a time when various thoughts have been welling up again.
I desperately want to sing many songs,
but within the limited time, I put my heart and soul into it,
and went with these songs.
I wonder if I was able to have everyone who gathered here
listen to who I am right now.

The day before I went to greet everyone, I sang just one song at the open mic,
"Ideal"
On the day of the live show, after the rehearsal finished,
when I was chatting with Miyako-san,
she said this to me.
"I felt that I was meant to hear this song at this very moment.
It's a very good song."
Ah, I'm glad I was able to come here.
