#250 The King of Kabukicho
(#249) Daikanyama Refrain / Yuzu Connecting via "Tokyo place names" in the title→ (#250) The King of Kabukicho / Tokyo Pudding
■ Preface -- What is the "Melody Line" (project)? ――――――
Well, to put it simply,
it's a project where you introduce your favorite songs.
(That explanation is way too simple (・_・)💦)
And, since just introducing them is a bit uninspired (lol), I thought, why not try to connect them to a song someone else in the group has written about using some kind of hook like "○○ connection" ( ̄∀ ̄)🎵
The image is like,
at a karaoke session with a few people,
when someone sings Vaundy's "Kaiju no Hanauta",
then I'll sing "ZERO" by the same Vaundy (≧▽≦)
(👆same artist connection)
In that case, next I'll sing B'z's "ZERO" ^m^
(👆same song title connection)
Whoa, then I'll sing Mizuki Nana's "0:00 Baby Doll" next--
(👆song title with "numbers" connection)
--that's the kind of spontaneous karaoke vibe we're trying to recreate in our note articles (*´꒳`*)

The song we are connecting from this time is hinawahina's article
"Daikanyama Refrain / Yuzu"
.
This is a really good song (*´꒳`*)
The lyrics have a strong nostalgic element,
and it's a world view that could easily become a bit dark lol,
but that's where the signature "Yuzu" touch comes in☆
While keeping a slightly mellow atmosphere at its core,
they've finished it into a solid, bright, and positive song (o^-')b♪
The smile of Honoka Sato, who plays the violin solo after the second chorus, is also wonderful🎵(*´▽`*)
I think Yuzu's greatest strength is their straightforward, bright songs like their signature "Eiko no Kakehashi" and their early smash hit "
Natsuiro", but personally, these songs are too dazzling (lol), and while I think they are great songs... I also have a slight weakness for them, but this "Daikanyama Refrain" is a "direct hit" for me (o^-')b♪
Since it's a song that includes the place name "Daikanyama Refrain", I can use it in my project repertoire, so I must learn it at all costs (sense of duty) ^m^
With that said,
the connecting song I've prepared this time is here--
"The King of Kabukicho / Tokyo Pudding"
The connection is "Tokyo place name in the title"
#247 Roppongi Rain / Naoko Ken
#248 Aoyama Rainy Night / SLAPSTICK with Fuyumi Shiraishi
#249 Daikanyama Refrain / Yuzu
So, the "Tokyo Tour" (lol) that has somehow reached a 3-hit combo will now successfully extend to a 4-hit combo with this
#250 King of Kabukicho/ Tokyo Pudding^m^
But well, if it's a song that includes the same Kabukicho in the title, usually
Wouldn't you think it's Ringo Sheena? (・_・)
For those of you who tilted your head, you are |cor|rect|!🎵 (In the style of Tomoya Nagase from "Kurokouchi")
But you see, as I have mentioned many times,
I am a contrarian( ̄∀ ̄)🎵
That "King of Kabukicho"☆
This is a song that truly represents the essence of Tokyo Pudding✨^m^
While the melody is consciously crafted as an homage to Ringo-jo's "Queen of Kabukicho," the world of the lyrics is "the ramblings of a lecherous salaryman who can't get a date" (lol)
Actually, this is the fifth time I've included Tokyo Pudding in this "Melody Line" project^m^
It will soon be nine full years since Takashi Makino, the left Pudding, passed away at the young age of 49.
Time flies......😑
There won't be any more new Tokyo Pudding songs, but💦
I hope to include as many as possible in this project, at least, so that even one more person might have a little chuckle(*´꒳`*)
......That is what I am thinking on this fifth day of December( ̄∀ ̄)🎵

――That is all from Matsudaira, who feels like he could beat the woman of Kabukicho (yeah, right)
