Cooking Class — Image Shiritori Started (#60)
(#59) |Question 1→"Chi"→Cooking Class

Teacher!
The boys are messing around and won't listen to me! (crying)
A common scene in home economics classes at junior high and high schools all over Japan ( ̄∀ ̄).
Even in practical subjects, if it were a chemistry experiment, messing around could be a serious matter depending on what you're handling, so it wouldn't turn into such a grand party mode.
But when it comes to home economics, well... ^m^
Well, the boys who mess around have a point too 👆
In a cooking situation they aren't used to, they don't really know how to handle things at first.
However, even if you're doing things you've never done before with clumsy hands, cooking is basically fun (*´∇`*)♪
Because it's fun, your mischievous side comes out, and you feel like playing around with the ingredients in a giddy mood.
I'd appreciate it if the class representative (provisional) wouldn't get so frustrated and could watch over them a little more warmly.
To repeat, even so, it doesn't usually turn into such a grand party mode ( ̄∀ ̄).
Besides, cooking class has the pleasure of eating the food at the end of the cooking process.
Even if it doesn't go perfectly, food you've made with your own hands is delicious (o^-')b♪.
That's why, lately, or rather since COVID, I think these kinds of practical classes have been under quite heavy restrictions, which makes my heart ache (>_<).
Not only do students have to bring their own cooking utensils and plates so they aren't shared,
but they also have to strictly assign roles for each step, like cutting vegetables and fruits or whipping eggs, and try hard to avoid crowding in the room by splitting the class in half.
In this situation, it's hard to ask someone who is good at cooking for advice on tricky parts or tips on how to do things well, or have them show you an example.
Those little interactions are fun in cooking class, and from a broader perspective, they are an important learning outcome of practical classes called "cooperation"... (*´Д`)
Above all, when tasting the food they worked so hard to make, basically all students have to face the same direction and eat in silence.
It goes without saying that they must keep their distance from each other.
It can't be helped, but it's joyless (・_・)💦💦
Given the strict guidelines (*1) from above, I can only imagine the hardships of the teachers in charge who are still trying their best to conduct practical classes.
It's easy to sympathize with them.
In this situation, there's no way a grand party mode like in the header image could happen. ←No, wait, the conversation has shifted as if party mode is justice, but it's out of bounds, you know ( ̄∀ ̄)
*1: Strict guidelines: Based on instructions from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (the official name is "Guidelines for Conducting Cooking Classes with Consideration for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19"). Since the notification date is November 30, 2020, looking at it again now, the outdated nature of the infection control measures is evident throughout. If my search was poor and this isn't the latest version, that would be the best case, but if this is still in effect as is, I think it should be revised immediately. I know it's hard to expect speed from bureaucratic work, but thinking about the teachers on the front lines who have to plan their classes bound by these guidelines, and the students who have been pushed around since COVID, I sincerely hope something is done as soon as possible.

Well, it's the start of the week.
I want to post a song, hmm...
The first song of the week, Crazy Ken Band with "Chaos Cooking"
...You might think it's a bit of a stretch to jump from the topic of cooking class, but as the image shows, if the boys mess around while cooking, the result will definitely be "Chaos Cooking" ( ̄∀ ̄))
The opening phrase
“How many in your party? Can't you see? I'm alone...”
and the snappy flow that follows it, I love it lol
Even though the tempo isn't that fast, the rhythm is so densely packed that if you try to take it easy to match the melody, you'll end up stumbling and fumbling over your words when you sing it. ← That's your own fault
The rhythm is so tight that it's hard to hear, so I've included the lyrics as well.
Well, I suppose this song is all about the "sound" of the lyrics anyway lol. It doesn't seem like there's much deep meaning in the lyrics, but it might be interesting to see what kind of lyrics make up this "sound" when you have some free time lol
(The album's lyric card didn't have furigana, so it was quite a hassle to look them up lol)
How many in your party?
Can't you see? I'm alone...
Late-night family restaurant, if you win, you're off to Hong Kong! "Cantonese Cuisine Fair"
One Night in Hong Kong, rocking on a sampan, touring the bay
Dreaming of Suzie Wong, waking up to Hot and Sour Soup, chaos in my brain
Kowloon side
The singing voice of a Chinese opera actress
An electric shock that blows your mind
A chance encounter in front of Chungking Mansions
Addicted to love, I'm already obsessed, love juice
View from the balcony, biting my tongue, kissing
Stumbling over my words, it's no good after all
Cantonese is just impossible
Darling in Mandarin, I love you
Wearing a Hong Kong-tailored Hong Kong shirt
If you walk in Hong Kong, you're a genuine Hong Kong star
How far is it from Mong Kok to Yau Ma Tei station? About
About the same as from Honmoku to Yamanote station
Hong Kong side
For example, it's like drying up in the intense sunlight around Wan Chai, ugh!
Double happiness! Beginner's luck at Happy Valley
A dragon passes through the feng shui-designed apartment
Jump on a double-decker tram
Taking only my heart away
Where did it go while leaving my body here? To Hong Kong
I love you
Welcome!
HOW MANY IN YOUR PARTY?
Can't you see? I'm alone...
Japanese-style seafood restaurant, if you win, you're off to Japan! "Teppanyaki Fair"
Dumped by a girl, touring the neighborhood, One Night in Honmoku
Dreaming of sweet and sour pork, the phantom Suzie Wong, chaos in my brain
Cold hot and sour soup, cold hot and sour soup, hot and sour soup
Oops, it's already this late tonight.
I forgot that my home economics teacher told me to buy Hakata salt, so I have to go buy it (half true lol... I wonder how Mr. S is doing... ^m^)
With that said,
I hope tomorrow is also a wonderful day
where as many people as possible can enjoy a delicious meal 🍚
■ Bonus
This is the car before the current one in this image shiritori train (60th car). If you were curious about the title "Question ①” and the joke image on the bottom right, please take a look when you have some time. As a thank you, I'll present the masterpiece from the boys' cooking class at the beginning (o^-')b♪
