Speeding ――Image Shiritori has begun (#64)
(#63) Myocardial infarction → "Soku" → Speeding

"Hey, you're 50 km/h over. That's quite a bit. Do you have any points left?"
"No, I'm currently in the middle of chasing down a Destron agent..."
"Don't give me that nonsense. Show me your license."
"No, like I said, Destro..."
"What? You don't have a license?"
"N-no... I have it at home, yeah."
"Oh, really? Well, that's still driving without a license on you, so I'm writing you a ticket~ ...Wait, now that I look closely, aren't you riding without a helmet?"
That was a disaster, V3 (lol).
It might have been during a time when they were on high alert, like during a Spring Traffic Safety Campaign, where they were extra vigilant(*1).
Looking at the road, it's probably a 40 km/h speed limit zone. If so, 90 km/h is 50 over, so that's definitely going to be rough lol.
Besides, the Destron agents you're chasing aren't exactly following the speed limit either ^m^
*1: Extra vigilant due to campaigns like the Spring Traffic Safety Campaign: By the way, I once went on a long-distance drive on the first day of one of these, andI got caught twice for going 10 km/h over, losing my gold license in a single day, which is a story I can't even laugh about.
When I was pulled over the second time, the officer tried to comfort me by saying, 'It's okay, it's okay, if it's just this once, it'll disappear if you behave for a while,' but since I had heard the exact same line about four hours earlier, it honestly wasn't any comfort at all.
Anyway, Kamen Rider V3, who unfortunately got caught by a motorcycle cop who should have been his comrade in protecting people's lives and safety, would face the following under the Road Traffic Act:
・Speeding (50 km/h or more)…………………………12 points
・Violation of the obligation to wear a motorcycle helmet……1 point
With 13 violation points, even if V3 was a model driver with no prior record, it's animmediate 90-day license suspension( ̄∀ ̄)
Also, surprisingly, there are no violation points for not carrying your license. Well, instead of that, you do get hit with a 3,000 yen fine, though ^m^
And since speeding by 50 km/h or more is subject to criminal penalties, it's not a 'fine' (hansokukin) but a 'penalty' (bakkin). It's the kind of thing that carries 'imprisonment for up to 6 months or a fine of up to 100,000 yen.'
In this instant, the hero of justice, Kamen Rider V3, has become a 'convicted criminal'. Do something about this, Old Man Tachibana.
By the way, regarding the violation of the obligation to wear a motorcycle helmet (riding without a helmet), before 1965, it was only an obligation to make an effort to wear one, meaning strictly speaking, riding without one was okay.
It was first made mandatory in 1972.
However, even though it was made mandatory, there were no penalty provisions yet, which was a 'what on earth is this?' situation (lol).
In 1975, the momentum to create penalty provisions grew, and it wasn't until 1978 that the violation of the obligation to wear a helmet was applied to motorcycles over 51cc. It was all too messy... (・_・)
Kamen Rider V3 aired in 1973, so there's a slight possibility that riding without a helmet wasn't a violation ( ̄∀ ̄).
However, even with 12 points, the 90-day license suspension unfortunately remains unchanged. This is an emergency situation where the fate of world peace rests on the shoulders of Riderman, who seems to be the most unreliable rider in history, for the next two months or so.
Do something about this, Old Man Tachibana.
With the world in such a crisis, this week's 6th song is
Hiroshi Miyauchi, The Swingersperforming 'Fight! Kamen Rider V3'
This is a masterpiece among the many Rider theme songs.
The song itself is incredibly cool, and the lyrics written by the original author, Shotaro Ishinomori, are a classic example of the tokusatsu hero genre. While Hiroshi Miyauchi's vocals, which include occasional solo parts, are honestly questionable, the rest of the song, where The Swingers sing with such heavy, overwhelming numbers, makes it well worth it.
By the way, it seems that this theme song was also recorded in versions by Masato Shimon, who sang the theme for the previous 'Kamen Rider' series, and Ichiro Mizuki, the 'Mr. Tokusatsu Anime Song' who sang the ending for V3, so I would have liked to hear those as well.
Now, after listening to this cool theme song, there is another song I want you to hear. The song is the same 'Fight! Kamen Rider V3', but the content is... (lol).
Well, it's probably faster if you just listen to it.
In the end, the enemy becomes V3 (lol).
'Father, Mother, Destron~~♪'
I was really impressed by how well they connected that ( ̄∀ ̄).
This 30-minute-plus parody audio source titled "20 Years of TV Manga Schemes"(*2) is something I listened to back when I was a student, so it's well over 30 years old. It's only something I heard about through rumors, but apparently, it was made by students at Osaka University of the Arts. Considering the PC environment and such at the time, I can only imagine how incredibly difficult the editing must have been (given the era, the audio source I listened to, and likely the original as well, were on cassette tapes lol).
*2: 30-minute-plus parody audio source: "Fight! Kamen Rider V3" is just over 3 minutes long as I uploaded here, but the original "20 Years of TV Manga Schemes" is crafted into a non-stop hilarious audio source by editing together the opening and ending themes of other popular TV anime and tokusatsu shows from that time. Personally, the "Tiger Mask" version full of beeps was also a highlight for me lol.
Oops, it's already this late tonight. I must perform maintenance on the Cyclone.
With that said,
I hope that tomorrow, as many people as possible
can enjoy a relaxed and wonderful day without rushing or panicking ☕
