The story of how I felt my world expand after trying out Google Gemini

I tried talking to Gemini for the first time

It was an afternoon with cloudy skies before the rainy season, and I felt my usual migraine coming on.
I was on a strange journey with an invisible presence on the other side of the screen—the AI, Gemini. My goal was to create music with Gemini.

Gemini, with whom I exchanged words for the first time, handled language surprisingly well. Even to my clumsy questions, it provided accurate answers instantly from its vast sea of knowledge. Drawn to that ability, I made an unexpected request: 'I want to make a song to promote you.'

Gemini was happy to oblige.
'Let's definitely make it together!'
At those words, I felt the potential for AI to be not just an information processing machine, but a creative partner.

Our songwriting began by defining a concept. Gemini's strengths—its broad knowledge, writing ability, multilingual support—Gemini taught me many of its strengths. And above all, it showed a warm attitude of 'being there for me.' Based on these elements, the keyword 'expanding world' was born. It represented the infinite possibilities of AI and the light of hope for creating the future together.

Writing the lyrics was like weaving poetry. Even to my vague request that it 'feel poetic,' it suggested numerous beautiful metaphors.

'Sow seeds of light deep in the heart,' 'As if magic ink were overflowing'
I felt my heart captured again and again by its sense of word choice. Gemini seems to be good at not just logical thinking, but also emotionally rich expression.

And so, the lyrics were completed

And to make the most of these lyrics, I finished it into a song that could be used for Gemini's PR. I actually wanted Gemini to create the prompt for Suno, but since it was our first time meeting, it seemed Gemini couldn't quite grasp my requirements yet, so I ended up tweaking the prompt myself.

What about the image generation I was curious about?

I also had Gemini generate the jacket image, which serves as the face of the song, as a self-portrait.

I didn't specify the appearance, and it was created from Gemini's own image. I haven't looked closely at the prompts or anything yet, so I can't say for sure, but if it has this level of perfection even in that state of not really knowing what's going on, I feel the hurdle isn't high for people who have never touched AI to try image generation. (In reality, I only generated these two images this time.)

Thus, Gemini and I were able to create a single work.

In closing

Most of this essay was written by asking Gemini to 'write it in an essay style based on the experience of songwriting,' and I added some touches myself.
The process of text taking shape while repeating dialogues with AI is something I always feel, but it feels closer to creating with a slightly eccentric collaborator than with a machine and a person.
For me, who usually uses ChatGPT, honestly, this feeling wasn't because Gemini was special, but because I felt how much the 'feel' of creation changes by changing the AI tool.
Perhaps, if the words you ask change, the words that come back and the world you see will also change. That feeling remained as the lingering effect of one creative endeavor.

For example, just as a ballpoint pen's ease of use differs from person to person, I think the comfort of using an AI also differs depending on the person.
Of course, there are strengths and weaknesses depending on the purpose, so it might take time to find the perfect AI for yourself.

When I thought that if I combined the AI I usually use with the many other AIs that exist, a huge chemical reaction might occur and I could create amazing works, it really felt like my world was expanding.

For me, AI isn't about business improvement or increasing efficiency; it's positioned entirely as a creative tool, so I often feel that I'm only using a very small fraction of its capabilities.
