Have you ever had the experience of trying to open a downloaded image only to find it has an unfamiliar .webp extension that won't open in standard image software?

I had this problem recently too. I couldn't find a good way to batch convert the hundreds of WebP files piling up on my PC into JPEG, and I ended up wasting half a day on it.

[So, I had an AI make it for me]

I asked the AI I've been using lately (Claude Code), "Make me a program that converts all WebP files to JPEG when I drag a folder onto it," and it really made it in about 5 minutes.

I tried using it, and it actually works. It even converts the contents of subfolders. It creates JPEG versions in a new folder without deleting the original files.

I figured there must be other people struggling with the same thing. I'm leaving it here for free. Please feel free to use it.

2. Double-click "setup_shortcut.bat" inside
   → A "WebP to JPEG Converter" icon will be created on your desktop

3. Drag and drop the folder you want to convert onto that icon
   → When finished, a new folder will automatically open on your desktop
