[Korea Travelogue] Day 1. Market food and Myeong-dong
My husband and I went on a 4-day, 3-night trip to Korea🇰🇷
When we traveled to Taiwan before, I was so worried about being cold that I packed a ton of sweatshirts and my suitcase was bursting at the seams. As it turned out, it was way too hot there and I didn't use any of them... so to avoid that mistake, this time I packed only the bare minimum of clothes and adopted a 'buy it there if I need it' style.
I managed to pack everything in half a suitcase. Amazing.

I forgot that you have to apply for an entry card online for Korea in advance, and while I was frantically trying to process it, my husband was sitting right next to me devouring my potatoes. I went crazy when I realized half of them were gone. lol
You have to apply for a Korean entry card online in advance. Seriously!!
We took a late morning flight and arrived in Korea around 2 PM.
Wow~! I can't read Hangul at all~! It's already so much fun!!

We bought some banana milk at a convenience store and headed to the hotel while drinking it🚶♀

After checking in and dropping off our bags, we went to Hongdae Market!
So much street food...!

I was surprised by how thick the tteokbokki was! It was so chewy and delicious~
I was nervous about trying sannakji (live octopus🐙) for the first time, but it was fresh and delicious🐙
The kkwabaegi (twisted donut) was only 100 yen and so delicious that I wanted to eat 10 of them.

After enjoying the street food, we headed to Myeong-dong♩

I discovered a Hello Kitty cafe, and as a huge Hello Kitty fan, I was overjoyed.

It came with a coaster and stickers as a bonus♡

After that, I strolled around Myeong-dong for a while and
returned to the hotel after 11 PM 🏨

The outside is chewy and the inside is gritty.
My impression: "Hmm………???"
To be continued in the laid-back part 2______
