(Short-Short) The Scenery Seen from the Abyss of Despair
There is said to be a Twilight Train that runs during the dim hours of dusk.
There is a sweet rumor that if you board it, your wishes will come true.
I was deeply disappointed with this world.
No matter how hard I tried, it never paid off.
I was fed up with a world where everything is solved by money, and I walked along with my head hanging low.
At twilight, when my shadow stretching on the ground was about to disappear, something stopped right beside me without even making the sound of an old steam whistle.
It was the rumored Twilight Train.
The door opened on its own.
My feet moved naturally, and I was sucked into the dark carriage.
I was the only passenger. I sat in an empty seat.
When I looked up at the sky from the window, I saw a cracked moon that looked as if it had been wounded in the sky where the curtain of night had just fallen.
I felt that the cracked appearance was just like my own exhausted heart.
The Twilight Train carried me and ran quietly.
How much time had passed?
Through the window, I could see a beautiful river, clear as if stars were shining at the bottom of the water.
On its surface, a glass boat was floating.
When it reached the beautiful river, the Twilight Train stopped and the door opened.
It seemed to be telling me to board the glass boat in front of me.
I didn't care if I couldn't come back. Thinking that, I made up my mind and boarded the glass boat, and the boat started moving on its own.
When I looked up at the sky from the boat, the cracked moon was still shining quietly there.
(Even if it's cracked, even if it's chipped, it can shine this brightly.)
I felt as if that light had taught me that there is no such thing as perfection.
I felt the depths of my heart, which had been sinking in despair, grow warm and light.
Fin.
↑I participated in this project.
Thank you very much.
