During the summer shaved ice season, especially in July and August, it gets crowded enough to form long lines. It is better to avoid peak times by going right after opening, just before closing, or on weekdays.
If you want to enjoy it at a leisurely pace, visiting in early summer or around September will allow you to enjoy it in a relatively relaxed manner with fewer people.
