Starting precisely because I am busy
There was something I had intended to start in May. But I couldn't.
I thought I would surely do it once I had the time, but I just couldn't. I was too busy.
So, when will I ever be able to do it?
There were two things I wanted to do.
One was the Spotify account I opened last year. The other was a blog. I had been thinking that someday I wanted to have an account specialized in content related to women's work styles.
And so, last month, full of motivation, I acquired a new blog account. The preparations were complete. All that was left was to talk and write.
Yet, I couldn't move.
Right now, I have things I must do by next Friday. Once that Friday passes, another death-defyingly busy project will arrive immediately. That is the life I am living right now. And it will continue until summer. So I cannot move.
But is this really okay?
For some reason, I feel very heavy-hearted.
Then, this morning, I listened to someone who has been doing muscle training for six years on an audio stream. They said that while you don't see changes easily in the daily repetition, you can still tell that changes are gradually happening to your body. What this person was talking about was the power of consistency.
I see. I also started taking early morning walks. Walking in the cool, crisp air of a morning with few people, bathed in sunlight, is incredibly refreshing. Even on rainy days, I just walk the usual path while listening to the sound of the rain.
Looking back, it has already been several months. It is only a 20-minute walk, but not only has my mood improved, my physical condition has as well.
Consistency doesn't start unless you start it, haha.
Someone once said that being busy is nothing more than an excuse, and I think that is true.
Being chased by busyness is painful.
However, for me, the stress of leaving things undone is even more painful. I think to myself that I shouldn't bother starting at a time like this, but no, no, I also think that precisely because it is a time like this, I should start.
After all, when you are busy, you become less particular.
When you are busy, you don't have time to be particular.
Therefore, you cannot be particular.
Perhaps having no time is unexpectedly just like that.
I think it is interesting how repeating something works. Nowadays, the time it takes for my audio distribution is about 15 minutes. It used to take 4 hours.
Things that once took a lot of time can be surprisingly shortened through daily repetition. Moreover, now that I am extremely busy, I cannot afford to be too particular. I just have to keep moving forward.
Thinking about it that way, maybe it is time to stop making tedious excuses to myself and start adding a little bit of pressure to my daily life.
