A Walk Through the City After a Long Time
I hadn't been out for a long time. I thought I wouldn't be able to go out as I pleased anymore, but today I had a wonderful walk through the city.
That said, I was out for some errands, specifically to visit the office of the judicial scrivener who takes care of things for me. When I checked the location, I realized it was Omotesando. I knew they had moved, but they had set up their office in such a stylish part of town.
How many years has it been since I was last in Omotesando? It's different from Aoyama or Harajuku; it's a calm and lovely area. Even so, my destination was a quiet street a bit further than Kotto-dori, which is far beyond the Nezu Museum.
On the way, there were several buildings that caught my eye. For example, this one.

I snapped a photo, thinking about how powerful brands can be. The sunlight was soft, and the people passing by were mostly foreigners; it really is such a sophisticated city.
I thought about going to the Nezu Museum on my way back, but perhaps it was a closed day, as the heavy-looking iron gate was shut. This is a museum I've always been curious about but have never entered. The bamboo is beautiful. I decided I would definitely make time to come back.

After that, I headed to Tokyo Station to finish my second errand, and it was already nearly 3 o'clock. Come to think of it, I hadn't eaten anything yet. My legs were exhausted, and I was so hungry I had no energy left.
At times like this, heading to the Maruzen cafe is the best choice. It's quiet, and when I'm alone, I can gaze out the window and just drift off in thought.

Looking outside, I slowly savored my Hayashi rice. Ah, how happy I am. The aroma of fried oysters spreads through my mouth. It's delicious.

Though it adds to my load, I can buy books on my way home, and I can even buy Hayashi rice on the first floor of Maruzen. It's rich and delicious.

I bought some Hayashi rice for my mother, who has been eating nothing but rice porridge for a long time. She was happy with the black sesame tofu yesterday, but she seemed to find this a novelty today, and she finished the whole portion for dinner.
Even so, I realized how tired I was from being out. Without realizing it, my brain must have been craving something fresh. Everything in the city felt so vivid to my eyes.
I like nature, but I love buildings. I saw many beautiful buildings today. Someone once said that buildings are the pinnacle of art, and I really think that's true.
