[For you who have taken a break from parenting] Coping & hints for things you want to do = found in the past✨️
Hello🌤️ This is umi.
You often see lists of 100 things to do or coping lists on note, don't you?😊
Have you ever made one?
🗒️What is a coping list?
A list of methods for dealing with stress.
By summarizing in advance the ways you can relax and effective coping strategies, it becomes easier to respond calmly even in stressful situations.
It's great to have a list of ways and things that help you relax, isn't it?✨️
But even if you think, 'I'll make a list!', some people might find it hard to come up with ideas, right?
Especially for you, who have been busy with parenting, you might be at a loss if someone suddenly asks, 'What do you want to do?'
I hope today's article will be of some help to you✨️

📒My coping list
I know I wrote this table of contents, but actually, I haven't made a coping list😂
You might want to retort, 'Hey, you haven't made one?', but please let me make an excuse explain💦
Well, I mean I haven't created one as a coping list.
So how do I manage it? It's in my ”Things I want to do list🗒️”
Since this is packed with things that help me relax, I didn't bother making a separate list (it's double the work, lol).
Details about the 'things I want to do' list are below⏬️

Now, I'll pick out a few things from my 'things I want to do' list that serve as coping mechanisms✨️
💕Go to a cafe alone once a month
💕Relax in the park
💕Go to a variety store
💕Go to a large stationery store (LOFT or Hands are also fine)
💕Spend a whole day at the library
💕Buy sweets or bread I want to eat
There are more, but I'll leave it at this for now😁

💡Things I want to do list = Coping list?
Don't you think these two are similar?
Come to think of it, it's obvious✨️ Because they are things I want to do, they are bound to relieve stress😆
But I don't think they are equal. So how do I distinguish them?
🗒️Things I want to do list
→Includes things that cost money or time, and things I want to do with someone else
🗒️Coping list
→Things I can do alone, and things I can do immediately
For example, if you set it as 'spending time with someone', it might become impossible depending on the other person's situation💦 If that ends up causing even more stress, it's counterproductive😱

💡Hint = Found in things/hobbies you were into in the past
Once I actually started making the list, things I wanted to do came to mind one after another.
Things like wanting to go on a trip driven by my child! Or seeing the night view of Tokyo from a helicopter! The content varies😊 Of course, going to my favorite TINTIN Shop is also included👍️
I am the embodiment of worldly desires. I filled up 100 items in no time, and currently, there are 120 written down! (Too many lol)
While writing, I noticed something.
💡”Many of the things I want to do! Coping methods = things I was obsessed with in the past”
The coping list I wrote first.
All of these were things I loved doing since I was in junior high school💕 They were also things I had become unable to do while busy with parenting.
But the fact that I wrote them on the list means they are still things I love👍️

💡For you, who have taken a step back from parenting

When raising children, especially during the baby to toddler stage, you can't really get any time to yourself, right? I've been parenting for 20 years, so I understand that painfully well.
How many times did I think, 'I just want to use the bathroom alone in peace,' when they would follow me and cry loudly in front of the door?😂
Now, my children have grown up and I have more time to myself. Even though I wished for this so much back then, I also feel a sense of loneliness. We always want what we don't have; we are such selfish creatures💦
Creating a 'things I want to do' list is what I encountered at such a time.
It reminded me of the things I loved, even after all this time.
So, if you feel like your list isn't progressing, please try to remember the things you were obsessed with in the past✨️
The things you loved in the past are waiting for the day you remember them😊
And this should also lead to finding hobbies to enjoy on your own!
To avoid 'parenting loss' = empty nest syndrome, let's find ways to enjoy our own time starting now and overcome this together👍️
