[Notion] I switched from Evernote✨
Hello⛅️ I'm umi.
Do you use a note-taking app?
I use a few.
I have been using other apps besides the one mentioned in the article above, and I would like to talk about switching from that app✨

📒Evernote
From over 10 years ago until last year, I mainly used Evernote on my PC.
When I started, it was 2,400 yen per year (300 yen per month).
It was such a convenient app that I paid annually and used it to the fullest✨
I threw a lot of information into it, such as clipping websites, things about my children, lists of consumables, and things to do before my divorce.
It is no exaggeration to say that my 10 years are packed into it!😁
Why switch from such a convenient app?
The answer is simple❗️
The price went up every year.
And finally, it went up to 7,500 yen, which is over 5,000 yen per year😱
I can't pay this price for a hobby.
Also, as I stopped using my PC, I had fewer opportunities to use Evernote.
That's why I feel this price is even more expensive.
However, there is one problem.
Yes, I have nowhere to throw the sites I like😱
As soon as I stopped using it, the tabs on my smartphone kept increasing.
I've accumulated so many that I've created four tab groups😂
Although the search function works, it's inconvenient not being able to pull up information quickly.

💡The only thing I'm looking for in an Evernote successor
💡Being able to save an entire page of a site I like✨
By the way, I checked to see if the note-taking apps I currently use could be a successor.
・Awesome Note→ Can clip parts of web pages
・Day One→ Requires third-party tools or manual work to perform web clips
Hmm, neither of them is easy to use, so unfortunately they won't be my successor💦
And after considering it myself, I chose Notion.

💡 Usability
I installed an extension to clip webpages.
That's why I chose Notion, after all👍
Since I can easily clip things with this, I'm planning to reduce the pile of tabs on my smartphone!✨
After all, keeping things simple and easy is the best way to go👍
And now that I'm actually using this app, I can't help but have fun with it😆
I suppose it's partly because I'm looking into various things, but time just flew by⌛
Since the way it's used is completely different from Evernote, I was confused at first, but
it's a very user-friendly app😊
In my next post, I'd like to introduce the differences from Evernote, the confusion I felt as a beginner, and the Home I created✨
