Gratitude Practice Day 8 Morning
Well then, first is the morning practice 20250411
Home: I am grateful for my home. It provides a sense of security. It allows me to let my guard down. I am glad that I woke up at home again today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Parents: I am grateful for my parents. We have clashed significantly at times, and I have even felt resentment, but I still feel relieved when I see them waking up in the morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Art: I am grateful for the art I always create. It is because creating feels like proof of my existence. At first, I drew and shared my work as a way to confirm I was still alive. It has led to various connections with society, such as selling my work and drawing live. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Seria: I am grateful for Seria. Because there are cheap and niche items hidden there, I end up buying things before I realize it. But it is cheap. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Citric Acid: I am grateful for citric acid. Somehow, I feel like my fatigue goes away when I drink beverages containing citric acid. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Mac: When I do tasks like editing or making slides on an iPad, I feel it is difficult to use. I think it is because I am accustomed to this PC form factor, but the time I am most grateful for it is during tax filing. It is just for checking, but I cannot understand it well unless I am on a PC. I am grateful for things like that. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Takuan (Pickled Daikon): I feel that its existence makes meals better. Even when I have no appetite or no time, takuan is the best companion. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Tenugui (Hand Towel): The hand towel I use for work is versatile. Sometimes it wipes away sweat, sometimes it acts as a blindfold, and sometimes as a bandage. Its thinness and durability are just right. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Clock: For someone like me who gets hyper-focused and loses track of self, or spends hours talking, having a wall clock makes me snap back to the time. Thank you to the clock for telling me the time and for pulling on my reins. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Video: Perhaps because I worked in film and video, it is indispensable to my life. I feel that it is often movies and videos that have sparked my interest, moved me, or touched my heart. When I get home and want to relax, I first play something. It is indispensable to my life like that. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Counting 'thank yous' is gradually becoming difficult, so I don't have the mental capacity to check for duplicates. Perhaps because I am wringing them out, things I didn't realize I felt are coming to the surface. It is an interesting thing.
