Send me your track, and I'll add the bass
I have made so many demo videos for my "FuruBass" series of bass sound sources so far, and I have conveyed everything I could about the sound and operability of FuruBass.
Lately, I've been thinking that I prepare not only the bass phrases but also the tracks that the bass goes into myself. To be honest, it inevitably ends up being a "track that makes FuruBass sound good," or in other words, a track that is convenient for FuruBass.
I think so myself, but for that reason, all software instrument demos sound good, buthow would it sound in the songs/tracks I make?is a question that always lingers.
While thinking about that, I also got a little bored of doing everything myself, so I came up with an idea to try something new.
Titled
Send Me Your Track. I'll Handle the Bass.
(Send me your track, and I'll add the bass)
This is a video project where I ask for someone's cooperation to program bass using FuruBass into a track created by someone other than myself.
In the video,
Listen to the track first
Think about what kind of bass to use
Actually program it
Listen to the completed bassline
I hope to share the production process in this flow.
On the surface, it is a FuruBass demo, but I think I can also show:
- What I think about when listening to a track and adding bass
- What criteria I use to choose a bass model
- How I use notes in a bassline
I hope to show the process of "how a bassline is made."
Of course, it might just be interesting to see what kind of bass I add to the tracks you send me.
You might think, "I would do it differently," or you might think, "I see, that's how you think about it."
If you like the bassline I added to the track you sent, please feel free to use it. There is no problem at all if you use it yourself as is.
So, I am looking for people to participate in this project.
Application details
Original tracks without bass (about 8-16 bars, one chorus is also fine; I will trim it myself)
Something where the chords are clear (a chord progression chart or a temporary bass-only track is fine)
Any genre is welcome
Works for which the applicant holds the rights
*Even if the track already has bass, it is often okay because I can remove the bass using iZotope.

Notice
I've created a bass sound library.
The current lineup is as follows:
・Jazz Bass version (fingerstyle, pick style & slap!)
・Precision Bass version (with mute function and sustain control)
・Active Bass version (fingerstyle, slap, 5-string range support)
・Fretless Bass version (Legato mode, portamento, vibrato function)
I'm very happy that so many people have adopted it. I hope it can be of help to someone's production.
