Making Additive-Free Lip Balm 5/100
I previously participated in a workshop to make original lipstick,
and since it was so great, I thought I definitely wanted to do it again!
So I added 'Make additive-free lip balm' to my bucket list.
Just as I was about to run out,
I happened to meet someone at the right time
who had just started holding lipstick-making workshops.
I helped introduce them to a venue I knew,
and ended up participating in the workshop myself.
That person had been feeling anxious about food, daily necessities,
and even the future of the planet in general.
As they gathered information, they became overwhelmed with worries,
and when they were lost in the process of trying to choose what to prioritize,
they discovered doTERRA.
They said that once they incorporated essential oils into their life,
their life changed dramatically for the better.
Because of that, they wanted to share this knowledge and method not only with themselves,
but also with those close to them, those in need, and those who were interested!!
So they decided to offer workshops
using 100% natural essential oils
(and of course, the other ingredients were natural too)
to make cosmetics and skincare products.
At the workshop,
they had several lip cases
and a huge selection of essentials ready, which was so exciting!
Choosing the case was thrilling,
and then I had to choose a few essential oils based on their scent and benefits,
which was also so much fun.
As an intuitive person, I decided quickly,
but apparently, many people spend a lot of time on this part.
By this stage, the venue was already wrapped in a lovely scent,
making it relaxing and refreshing.
Then, we blended the color pigments to create the shade.
Thinking about the colors I like, the colors that suit me, whether it's for daily use or for days when I want to dress up,
I was considering all sorts of things, but...
for some reason, the color that ends up being created mysteriously suits the person who made it.
Maybe we know ourselves best?

While melting the ingredients in a double boiler and mixing them,
we added the doTERRA essential oils,
poured them into molds, and waited for them to cool and set.

That time was filled with anticipation,
and it was a fun time chatting with the friends who were making lipstick with me.
After it hardened, we removed it from the mold and put it into the lip case.
And then, my very own lipstick was complete.
This time, I made a pink-beige shade that isn't too vibrant,
so I can easily apply it anytime.

It's my favorite.
Even with light makeup, just applying a little lipstick brightens up my expression.
There were times when I was too lazy to wear lipstick, but it's actually quite important, isn't it?
There's the self-satisfaction of having made it myself,
and since lipstick inevitably enters the body through the mouth,
it's important that it can be made with just simple, body-friendly ingredients.
The things I use daily are gradually becoming
handmade items. I'm happy about that.
Bucket list 100
No. 5 'Make additive-free lip balm' cleared.
I'll probably keep doing this forever.
