Daily Candle Making
My days off lately have been very busy.
Between the usual accumulated housework and grocery shopping,
not only the monthly routine errands,
but also a series of opportunities to meet people I want to see,
doing seasonal work,
and engaging in creative activities.
Right now, I'm passionate about candle making.
Ever since I made a
botanical candle
at a workshop before,
my original interest deepened,
I want to make them myself too.changed to that,
and I've been gradually gathering supplies and materials,
quietly making them every day off.
Thanks to this creative activity,
I look forward to my days off and they are very fun.
Among candles,
I like so-called botanical candles
that are decorated with dried flowers and botanicals.
I make them using dried flowers I had at home.
I add my favorite aroma
to the base candle.
The whole room is wrapped in my favorite scent.
Happiness.
Each dried flower has
memories, big or small.
Flowers I had displayed in [Month]
a bouquet I received as a gift
Somehow, while making them,
the feelings from that time come back.

Temperature is important.
Gently, gently.
I've made some misshapen ones,
and some have cracked.
But,
I don't throw them away;
if they're just misshapen, I use them as they are,
and if they crack or crumble,
I can melt them down and remake them.
It's not a failure.

Let's just call the uneven surfaces charming.
