Harsh Feedback (I went to a lecture)
I'm Yasu, and I get super nervous when I'm in front of someone I admire. Thank you for reading today as well.
I'm doing a project where I try to post every day for 66 days. Anyone can join. However, if you miss even one day of posting, you're kicked out of the magazine. (It's spartan!)
Still updating every day. There are now 32 of us running together in this posting marathon! Everyone, keep it up!
If you find it hard to keep going on your own, I'll run with you.

"You should write what you want to read." "The camera reflects the person taking the picture."I attended a lecture by Ryosuke Konno, the editor of those books. He is a true professional who has worked on many bestsellers.
"Focus points for bookmaking in the era of one hundred million creators"The lecture was titled this, and it attracted not only people who want to write books, but also those who want to share their writing or improve their skills. The title is enticing, isn't it?
When I was shown to my seat, it was in the front row, and literally right in front of me was Ryosuke Konno, the man who made the book that changed my life. If it weren't for "You should write what you want to read," I wouldn't be who I am today.
Oh, man. I had forgotten.
I was shy. I forgot that I'm a coward.
I thought, 'I'll go say hello!' but then I started thinking, 'Oh, would I be a bother?' and yeah, it was a no-go. He was surrounded even after the lecture, and it was a high hurdle to push my way into that crowd.
The content of the lecture was like getting hit with a body blow. It was conducted in a dialogue format, and the person he was talking to was Yoshiaki Misago. An author who loves books. His questions were so precise it was scary.
During the talk, there was a question: "Is there anything people who want to publish a book should do?"
Mr. Konno replied, "Write like you breathe." Don't be tense when you write. Don't put effort into trying to write. When you write, you can discover what you are thinking. That's what note is. It's daily updates.
And it's good to get feedback.
Having family, friends, and others tell you their honest opinions leads to writing that is "like you."
You wouldn't say something like this, would you?
This expression is very like you.
I don't understand what this sentence is trying to say.
And so on.
People who give you honest impressions, not just kind opinions, are precious.
Especially on social media. People won't go out of their way to point out things about your writing, even at the risk of being disliked. I do give opinions to my members, though.
That's why it's important to have not just people who say nice things, but people who give solid opinions. Even if it's feedback that's hard to hear.
Do you have people like that around you?
Thank you for coming to read today as well. The words of an industry leader are high-density.
