Motivation? The desire to write comes from writing
Today's article is for those who update daily or have been writing articles for over 100 days.
Writing an article with the intention to "write" and writing an article while thinking, "I wonder if there's anything to write about. I wonder if anything will come to mind," are similar but different.
If you decide to write, you can write something. Just start writing. Create sentences as you think, as they come to your mind.
Then, halfway through, you'll get into the flow. You might think, "What! That's impossible, isn't it?" But if you keep writing every day, you'll be able to do it. Because that's how I am.
I have nothing to write, but I will write. I decide that and just start writing. Write anything at all. Ignore the reader's perspective.
Sentence structure—
Message quality—
Being useful to others—
Ignore it all. Leave that to people who can write it, or if you write it yourself, just write it when you think of it. Prioritize writing. Prioritize being able to feel happy once you've written it, once you've finished writing.
When you actually write like that, the content of the first half and the second half don't match. At the start of writing, you're "writing whatever comes to mind because there's nothing to write about," but by the second half, the article has developed into something completely different.
In that case, you can just rewrite the first half. If it's digital, editing is easy. It's a hassle if it's analog, though.
According to how the brain works, it seems that motivation doesn't appear unless you do the task. Motivation comes from doing. It seems there's no point in "waiting until you feel motivated."
This also applies to writing. As long as you're thinking, "What should I write? I wonder if anything will come to mind," it won't come easily. It's better to just write. Write anything, really anything at all.
If you write, motivation (the desire to write) will arise, so you can just edit the first half after you finish writing.
It might be difficult for people who decide on the structure and think through the development thoroughly before writing. I'm the type who thinks while writing, so I create articles while thinking.
Usually, one word comes to mind, and I feel like I'm expanding from there. When I write while thinking, the flow often becomes stranger than I expected. Well, that's more fun to write. If you think about it too rigidly in advance, you end up with a predictable conclusion.
Try writing while thinking. Give it a go.
Thank you for coming to read today as well. The keyword that came to mind before writing this article was "desire to write."
