After Fuji Rock, Super Mario.
After finishing my first-ever camping trip last week, I finally had a moment to breathe.
I've decided to go on a trip with my two children. It's a long, one-week journey.
I once ran away from home with my kids when they were babies and stayed in a business hotel for one night. But back then, I had a car. This is the first time since then.
Honestly, I had thought about leaving the kids with someone and going abroad. But last week, I realized, 'Kids grow up, don't they? They eventually won't need their parents.' Getting lost together, crying over dropped soft-serve ice cream, buying ice-cold Pocari Sweat from a vending machine after being exhausted from waiting in line—I realized I wouldn't be able to have those experiences anymore, and I hadn't really done anything with them yet.
This time, I'm determined to listen entirely to the children's requests. I ordered a guidebook yesterday. The destination is 'USJ (Universal Studios Japan).' Honestly, I have zero interest in it. I've never even been to Disneyland, so will I be okay? No, I've always managed to figure things out when I get there. The various things that happen along the way are what make a trip. Things going perfectly isn't the only right answer, and I don't necessarily want to take the 'correct' path. I just want them to laugh.
I'm currently making full use of my go-to tools, ChatGPT and NotebookLM, to work out a schedule.
In NotebookLM

It's great that it makes suggestions based on actual timetables.
In ChatGPT

Even if they fall and cry, there's someone there to reach out a hand. That alone is enough to keep walking.
