One of my dreams has come true
The summer festival I have always said I want to perform at most.
"OSAKA GIGANTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL," commonly known as Giga.
In 2017, when Giga was held for the first time,
I was a student and went to help out at Giga.
My first time helping at a summer festival.
Ever since I decided to live as a band member,
Giga was the first summer festival I participated in from a position other than as an audience member.
Seeing the beaming smiles of the people who came to enjoy Giga over those two days, I realized once again that I wanted to be in a band to make everyone feel this way!
(I think it's different for everyone, but I've been doing music with the desire to make as many people as possible happy since back then.)
I vowed that one day I would definitely perform at Giga, which gave me those feelings.
I helped out by carrying a huge water tank to spray water for heatstroke prevention, and I helped out in the pool area.
Although I vowed to perform, because it's a big festival,
it wasn't easy, as expected.
In 2025, after quite a bit of time had passed,
I was still going as a chaperone for students from my alma mater even after graduating, so last year I was in charge of the eco-station.
Seeing friends performing on the stage visible from the eco-station,
while I was happy for them, I was also very, very frustrated, but I still absolutely didn't want to give up, so I embraced all those feelings,
and I helped out while tying a Chimothy→ towel to myself, putting the biggest feeling I've ever had into the thought that I would stand on that stage with Chimothy→ (lol).
I was happy when people who knew Chimothy→ noticed me.
And in April 2026, I finally performed at the Giga circuit event.
The moment I got closest to Giga so far.
It turned out that a band chosen from the performers would be able to appear in the main Giga event as an opening act.
That really fired me up. I couldn't let a chance like this slip away!
Since it was a circuit event, I was handing out flyers until right before our turn on the day, and perhaps thanks to that, a lot of people really came to see us.
It became the best day ever!
And as time passed,
after a live show one day, I had a surprise video call from Mr. Kawakami of Kyodo Osaka (see the SNS video), and he asked us to be the opening act for Giga...
I could only cry at that moment,
but as time went by, it started to sink in, and I was truly happy...
Even now, as I write this, tears are falling.
I'm really so happy.
Dreams really do come true.
It took 10 years to perform at Giga,
and there were times every summer when I felt like my heart would break,
but I never gave up!
I'm glad I kept the band going without giving up.
And I feel truly happy that I have members I can stand on that dream stage with.
I always feel this way, but I don't think Chimothy→ is just the three of us; I think it's all of you who watch (and listen to) us combined that make Chimothy→, so thank you so much for helping me make this dream come true!
The day hasn't come yet, so it's still to come 🙂↕️
I'm looking forward to the dream stage so much!
I will devote myself to standing on that stage as the coolest version of myself yet.
We are Chimothy→,
performing at "OSAKA GIGANTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL 2026"! Thank you for your support!
