Thoughts on "Process Model" pp. 134-137.

I reread around pages 69-71.
Since it's been a while.

Reconfirmed the section on semantic connections.

It's still difficult, as always😅
However, I might be able to read it better than before!
It feels like the flow that was stuck has loosened up.

Like a multiplication of pursuits, I wonder if a single event, action, or word carries all sorts of elements, sometimes separating, sometimes overlapping, sometimes mixing, and moving forward.

The part about fruit flies on p. 135,
and the final paragraph on p. 137, I think they overlap quite a bit with what Dr. Bateson is saying.

I don't know why, but reading these pages made things click for me.

What is evolution?
Something new?

No, rather than that... I felt like I heard that daring to stay put might be evolution.

I felt that pages 135 to 136 were saying that when we write 'evolution,' it tends to look as if things are advancing.

Daring to stay put.
Maintaining.
Stagnating.
Daringly, like a penguin that can no longer fly🐧.
Daringly, not jumping on the cutting edge.
This must also be one form of a significant sense of discomfort.

It is written like this on p. 136.

Animals, including their hearts and cells, never stop moving.
That is why the act of stopping stands out.
The act of stagnating stands out just as much.

What kind of ecology are young people today living and multiplying in?

Compared to before, what has stopped?
What has changed?

There is significance in what has changed.
And there is meaning in what has stopped and remained unchanged.

Meaning and significance, what has changed and what has remained, a mixture of everything

Perhaps being somewhat inclined to stay put is evolution.

In context, that becomes highlighted.

So, what my dearest best friend was saying finally connects with this.
