You too can be someone's Santa!!

This is Tsukimori.
(This post is for the Guinness Relay, regarding charity.)

I have participated twice before.
When I hear the word "charity," nothing grand comes to mind, and I can only speak about what I practice myself.
Since everyone has different strengths, all I have are very modest contributions.
Yesterday, it suddenly occurred to me that this might also have stemmed from a sense of charity.

Every year, when this season arrives, I start feeling restless, wondering what I should do this year.
Because it is the season for "Book Santa."

I played Santa again this year. (My fourth time)
Until last year, I sent "Momo" along with picture books, but I heard that picture books are common, so since the recipients are up to 18 years old, I chose from the range of children's books this year.
It is a gift of just under 10,000 yen, but I feel excited myself as I send it.
I hope it safely reaches children who are a bit closer to adolescence among the children's book readers.

When my daughter was small, I read picture books to her every night.
I also used to send books to my nieces as Christmas presents, starting with picture books.
One day, my niece, who had grown up, said,
"I always looked forward to the books from my aunt because they were always a bit mature."
Realizing that the time I spent reading picture books to my daughter has become such a deeply memorable time for me.
I hope that everyone can experience this as they grow up.
It was four years ago that I learned about a project at a bookstore display that makes this possible, and I started participating.

I hope to continue doing even such small things as much as possible, and to keep it going for a long time within my own comfortable limits.
(I thought that sharing this system might also be a form of charity.)
