Crisis for the continuous Omusubi report record!? The Olympic Road is an Oyaki Road
[442nd Omusubi] Roadside Station Ogawa (Nozawana Oyaki)???
Commonly known as the Olympic Road.
A main road that runs from Nagano City to Omachi and Hakuba. It is called by this name because it was developed during the Nagano Olympics.
It is a road where you can enjoy a comfortable drive while looking at the mountains and townscapes of Shinshu, and one of its features is the existence of three consecutive roadside stations (Nakajo, Ogawa, and Miasa).
Speaking of roadside stations, that's right. Omusubi!
I'm looking forward to this.

First thing in the morning.
I stop by Zenko-ji Temple to pray that I will encounter delicious omusubi.

Daikichi (Great Blessing)!
This might be a good start.
I arrived at the first roadside station, Nakajo.
There are many omusubi lined up in front of the register.
Yes!
However...

They are all oyaki.
Even when I go to the next roadside station, and the one after that.

Oyaki, oyaki. Everything is oyaki.
Yes, Nagano Prefecture (especially the Hokushin and Azumino areas) is famous for oyaki.
The ingredients for oyaki are mainly wheat or buckwheat flour...
It looks like an omusubi, though.

It looked delicious so I ate a Nozawana oyaki, but this doesn't count as having eaten an omusubi, does it?
So, there is no omusubi this time...
The Omusubi Report streak also ended at 441 yesterday...
No, no.

That was close, that was close.
I can't end it here, so I had it at the hotel breakfast where I stayed.

Koshihikari rice with pickles, spicy cod roe, and butterbur miso.
Sorry for it being in this form.
The omusubi challenge continues.
Thank you for the meal!
