I've been eating rice balls for 250 days, so I'm going to praise myself a lot
[250th Rice Ball] Mogami (Nishi-Nippori) Sausage
Are you familiar with something called a praise diary?
It is said that by praising yourself every day, you can increase your self-esteem and bring out hidden abilities and positive feelings. Even if you praise yourself, the brain reacts to positive information coming in through sight, hearing, and other senses, and it even seems to be tricked into recognizing that you are being praised.
Anyway, let's praise ourselves, even for small things. Everyone, please try praising yourselves too!
Today marks 250 days of my challenge to eat 1,000 rice balls and upload a food report on Note every day.
When I started, I didn't know how long it would last, but I've managed to keep it going this far.
Perhaps because I banned convenience store rice balls and homemade rice balls according to my own rules, the difficulty level has been higher than I expected, and there have been times when I almost gave up halfway through. Having people read my posts every day during those times is a huge encouragement.
If there is a situation where it is difficult to eat out due to the influence of the coronavirus, I can convey the joy of eating at restaurants, and if there is an increase in home-cooked meals, I might be able to provide hints for making them.
I keep going while thinking about things like that.
And now, a story about a rice ball shop that is loved by people and has been in business for a long time.
Mogami, a rice ball shop in the neighborhood that always has a line in Nishi-Nippori.
Actually, last December, the previous store had to move out due to apartment construction. It was a very unfortunate story, as it had a charming storefront and was close to the station.
Three months have passed since then. What has become of Mogami?
Information about rice ball shops is actually scarce on the internet, and the information that is available is often old. Information about this shop on major gourmet sites and map apps also shows the store information from before the move.
For now, I decided to go to Nishi-Nippori and look for it.

I found it sooner than expected!
There was a line on the street, so I could tell even from a distance.
It's closer to the station than before. This is great. The shop is also sparkling new!

From the window next to the line, you can see them making them!
It's a live kitchen!Delicious-looking rice balls are being made one after another. It's fun just to watch.
This is great!

I chose the sausage rice ball.
I've seen many shops so far, but this "Mogami" is the only one where I've seen a sausage rice ball. It's a slightly rare ingredient that you wouldn't expect to find.
I wonder what it tastes like.

Pop. The sausage bursts.
A sausage seasoned with salt and pepper. Its savory flavor soaks into the rice, and it's delicious. It's like the sausage you find in a homemade bento box. That sense of comfort has been turned into a rice ball.
From now on, I will continue to find and praise the good things in myself and those around me. I will praise them a lot.
Thank you for the meal!
