Recognized by a Michelin-listed restaurant! The craftsmanship of an onigiri robot
[84th Rice Ball] ONIROBOT (Pilot Store) White Rice + Salmon + Artisan Style
Since a pilot store for the world's first robot-made onigiri shop has opened in Shimbashi, here is the second part of my experience report!
Actually, the amazing thing about this robot is that it has a function that allows it to shape rice balls like an artisan.

Apparently, the robot's technique is even recognized by the Michelin-listed Asakusa Yadoroku...
I really want to experience this.

The square machine on the left is ONIROBOT!
It is a robot seriously developed by Panasonic's new business creation project, "Game Changer Catapult,"and it is said to be the only one of its kind in the world right now.

It finishes shaping in just a few seconds. Fast!
According to an article in CNET JAPAN, OniRobot is one of the solutions developed by Game Changer Catapult, and it controls the pressure of the grip using "pressure feedback control technology with a 3D forming hand" that applies pressure from a total of five directions—three from the sides and two from the top and bottom—to form the triangular onigiri. It seems it can reproduce an artisan's technique and finish with a soft texture as if it were shaped by hand.

Indeed, it has just the right amount of air, and it is finished in an artisan style that is firm on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I see, I see!
It really might be close to the freshly made onigiri at Asakusa Yadoroku!
Huh.
The person right in front of me was the owner of Yadoroku!
Apparently, he came incognito (lol).
(On the left is Mr. Yadoroku, with the Panasonic staff)

An onigiri robot that even a Michelin-listed onigiri shop is paying attention to!
I can't take my eyes off this.
(I wonder if we could collaborate with Omusubi Yell.)
Thank you for the meal!
★And finally, tomorrow is the unveiling of "Omusubi Ale," the world's first beer created specifically for rice balls!
To make the best rice balls, we harvested the Akita Komachi rice grown using eco-friendly farming methods, and I'll be heading to Ugo Town in Akita Prefecture to toast with the local residents, the tour group from Tokyo, and the team from Sapporo Breweries who helped develop it!
