On my third day in Okinawa, I was finally able to see a beautiful sunset.

The clock hands are pointing to 5:45 PM.

The sense of time until sunset seems completely different from Tokyo, where it gets dark by 4:30 PM.

As expected of the tropics, it's warm even in the evening. I'll change into a short-sleeved shirt and shorts and head out for a sunset run.

The sun sets slowly.

The famous Okashi Goten is also in the twilight.

And then, from twilight into dusk.
I can feel the passage of time.

And then, night arrived.
It's hard to capture in a photo, but I can see many stars.
**Actually, it seems there is a rice ball in Okinawa that has the same color as this night sky.**

There is a shop with a line at the outdoor food tenant area.

They have taco sandwiches, giant fried chicken, and more.

In the back of the counter, the mothers are making some kind of black lumps.

I was lucky enough to buy them freshly made.

Let's eat it right away.

Oh wow, the more I look at it, the blacker it gets!
The rice is so black that the seaweed actually looks bright.

Since it would turn my hands pitch black if I held it, I'll pick it up with chopsticks.

I wonder what it looks like inside.

It's pitch black inside too!

The rich squid ink extract blends with the rice, and it's incredibly delicious. Even though it looks pitch black, it has a finish similar to squid ink pasta, and the flavor is perhaps a bit sophisticated.
