[NZ Working Holiday] Six months have passed. Got a new job! I manifested it all.
Yes, just as the title says, I got a new job! I did it.
I manifested it again. lol
If you're interested, please take a read.
The day after I arrived here in Mount Maunganui, I smoothly landed a barista job at a cafe and was spending my days smoothly.
I worked hard for about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, learned a lot, and met many different people.
The front staff was everyone except me, Kiwis (New Zealanders), and I am very grateful that I was able to fit in with the locals.

However, because that cafe was too large and way too busy, it was quite physically demanding, and it wasn't a job that was just fun...
Also, it felt more like a restaurant than a cafe where you focus on coffee, and that was fine, but while I was working, I sometimes wondered if this was really right for me.
At the end of the day, it was nothing major, but while working, I sometimes felt a bit stressed.
But, all things considered, it's a place I like, and I had thought I would work at the same cafe until the NZ summer ended. (My mind had decided that on its own.)
Then one day, I discovered on Instagram that one of my favorite cafes, which is in the top 3 here in the Mount, was looking for a barista.
And the conditions were perfect. The working hours were Monday to Friday from 6:15 to 13:15. Having weekends off in hospitality is quite rare.
So when I saw that opening, I shared it with a friend who was looking for a job at the time, not for myself. Because I already had a job and was convinced I had to stay at that same cafe. lol
Then, while I was talking to my friend Celine, who is a spiritual teacher and also my flatmate,
Celine: Come to think of it, that cafe was looking for a barista! The moment I saw it, I thought of you, Tsutsu.
Me: Hmm, but for now, I intend to work until the summer ends. But that place is nice, I'd love to work there someday!
Celine: Tsutsu, I think you should apply right now. (While staring at me with very intense eyes)
After that conversation, I could really imagine myself working at that cafe, and my heart started to get excited. A feeling of sudden motivation.
Celine used to be a manager at the cafe where I work, and since she knew well how busy and tough the summer could be, it was even more persuasive and she gave me a push.
So I got motivated right away and immediately updated my resume. I wanted to make it even better than the first one, so I asked him, who is more fluent in English than me, for a little help...
I envisioned a resume that would be professional and spark interest at first glance.
I sent an email right away! I was full of confidence and had a strong feeling that I would definitely get the job. ← This is important. I felt as if I had already been hired.
Then, I remembered that a friend of mine here had mentioned before that they were friends with the owner of that cafe, so I decided to send that friend a message just in case.
I said, 'By the way, didn't you say you were friends with the cafe owner? Actually, I just applied to that cafe.'
Then they replied, 'Oh, that's great! I'll tell them what a great person you are!' (They are too kind...)
Immediately after that, the cafe owner contacted me, and I was able to schedule an interview and a trial for a later date.
At that point, my friend hadn't even sent the message yet, so he was like, 'Looks like you didn't need my help after all, haha!'
But what's even more amazing is that right after that message, my friend told me he happened to run into the cafe owner just now, and the owner said they saw my resume and were really looking forward to it. He said he told them what a sweet person I am!
Thank you... lol
So, I went for the trial on the scheduled day. Since the job itself is barista work, I was able to show my skills smoothly without any issues.
The conversation with the owner went well, and they said, 'I'll be in touch,' and that was it!
It's a cafe I really like, the busyness and scale are perfect for me, and above all, it was great to see that the owner truly respects their staff.
So, I went home, and regardless of the trial results, I already didn't want to work at my original cafe anymore, so I decided to prepare my resignation letter. I carefully {wrote it, {printed it, {had it in hand, and headed out to go surfing. lol
Even though I didn't know the results yet, I had {everything prepared. This is important.
Then, while I was driving and checking the waves, my phone rang. I pulled over and answered it,
It was the cafe owner!!! They said they definitely wanted me on their team!
Yes, it was a perfect {manifestation!
The surfing after that felt so good! I caught a lot of great waves.
And it just so happened that there was a staff meeting at my original cafe that day. Since I already had my resignation letter ready, I handed it in that day.
The owner was very disappointed, but they supported my next challenge, and I'm really glad it ended on a good note!
Just like that, I got a new job!

Have 100% confidence in what you are doing, and be proud of yourself.
When you do that, it naturally conveys to those around you, more people will help you, and that leads to results.
Also, for your goals or targets, even if they are just small things, strongly imagine yourself doing them while feeling excited.
Paint a concrete image in your mind and heart.
Clearly identify what makes you feel happy and what makes you feel unhappy, and boldly stop or let go of the things that make you unhappy.
When you do that, things will go smoothly. It's really that simple.
Don't overthink it, and sometimes just let yourself go with the flow.
To those who always read my posts and those who read until the end, thank you.
Love, Tsukasa
