If I Could Meet You on This Wafer
This season has come around again.
It's the B.League card wafers.
Last season, I successfully got my favorite player Yutaro's card, and I also got the cool Imamoo move No. 1 that I wanted, so it was a total success.

This year, a new mission has been added: my sister's favorite player, Daiki's card, and we are fired up.
With two players from each team plus rare signed cards, the lineup is heart-pounding again this season.

I want my absolute favorite, Yutaro.
I wouldn't mind getting Yutaro's best friend Daiki either.
Yuki Togashi is so much of a favorite that he's in the Hall of Fame for me, so for some reason, I feel like I've already got his card.
It's already hardwired into my brain cells.
For my sister and me, we want the set of the only peers, Yutaro and Daiki, who both wear number 13.
Surprisingly, their poses are the same too.
It's a dribble cut-in from the left.
It's cool, it really feels like basketball.
But you know.
Both of them are all-rounders who are also forwards, so that's fine, but aren't they shooters?
I want a jumper with Yutaro's unique form, or a face-on fadeaway from the left 45-degree angle for Daiki.
Both of them have been guarded so closely lately that they often end up as decoys for cut-ins, so that's why it ends up like this.
It's also too cool to see the two of them going at it from the low post, pushing others aside, so I wouldn't mind if they were a single card set of the two of them.
I love how Daiki is aggressive enough to bring the game to Yutaro's specialty, speed, even though he could force his way in with raw power.
I want them to keep fighting like this forever, without ever reaching a conclusion.
Assuming there are no major injuries, they'll probably retire around the same time, so when that happens!
League, please release a card of the two of them matching up!
Well, there are tons of players to pair with Daiki, so I have a feeling Yutaro won't be chosen.
At least grant me this much.
Or, I thought of one other thing, League.
Do you remember the prank project from this season's All-Star event where Yutaro got to become a garbage collector, which he's admired since he was a kid, League?
He said, "I wanted to become a garbage truck", but no matter how much money the League throws at it, that won't come true, Yutaro.
That was the one where my favorite player's desire to transform was so avant-garde that it ended in an accident.
I mean, the idea of "wanting to be a car" is so boyish.
If he wasn't a basketball player, could he have been a garbage truck?
Well, as long as there's a sign that lets me know it's Yutaro-san, I'd support him anyway.
Truth be told, I'm a woman who wanted to be a garbage collector.
I used to admire how the guys would hold onto the handrails on the side of the garbage truck and ride on the outside; it looked so cool.
Wait a minute?
If both of our dreams had come true, would there have been a low-key transformation of Nami and Yutaro on a street corner?
Setting that aside.
The plan was a prank for basketball fans on the day of the All-Star Game, where players disguised as garbage collectors would blend into the crowd to see how many minutes it would take for them to be discovered.
To give away the punchline, Yutaro-san, who had prepared extensively to appear in his disguise as a cleaner, ended up being identified in five seconds, turning it into a joke that failed right from the start.
I can really support Yutaro-san's guiding principle of being able to head in a strange direction no matter what he does.
The reason he was discovered is also unique.
According to the testimony of people who were at the venue that day, the overwhelming consensus was, "Suddenly, there was a nice scent, and when I turned around, Yutaro-san was there."
Hey, hold on a second.
Is that way of appearing like a Madonna from a Showa-era boys' manga?
Is that the one where a girl smells like shampoo or soap when she sweats, and you fall in love?
What do you mean, he was discovered by his scent?
Being discovered by your scent when you appear is the exclusive patent of dinner curry, isn't it?
And that's not okay, Yutaro-san.
If a child saw a simple, handsome guy with glasses and weird proportions standing there smelling like soap when they turned around, it would be at a level that would cause trauma and warp their preferences.
I don't know if it was the smell of soap or not.
I wonder if his perfume is strong, but since it seems no one felt uncomfortable, maybe it's not that strong, or perhaps it's a scent with high favorability.
If that's the case, I feel like soap, baby powder, or citrus scents are popular.
I really wonder what that scent is?
I want to ask Yutaro-san's wife, is it fabric softener?
Or is it a scent that overflows directly from your husband?
I don't get the feeling he wears perfume, though.
But when he was disguised, he was wearing the work clothes the staff prepared for the league, right? So, that means it's perfume?
But if it were perfume, we'd be able to identify it to some extent, right?
Everyone says, 'I don't know what it is, but it's just a nice, airy scent.'
Anyway, to his wife.
Even if it is Yutaro-san's own scent, managing his daily health like that, you're such a wonderful woman.
Well, anyway, getting back to the cards.
I thought about it in my own perverted way.
I wondered, couldn't we put Yutaro-san's nice scent on the cards?
You know how there are pocket tissues that smell like ice cream?
Couldn't we make a 'card that smells like Yutaro-san' in that same way?
For people who aren't interested in Yutaro-san's scent, I want a mechanism where it only smells if you lightly scratch it with your fingernail so it doesn't have to smell otherwise.
I feel like something like that exists.
However, the question is... where on the photo of Yutaro-san on the card would you scratch to smell it?

A difficult shot where he jumps backward to avoid the defender.
Let's play it safe and go with the chest.
He's a man, so let's consider that safe!
His pectorals are amazing and cool, so that's fine, right!
No, if I can choose based on that.
Is it Yutaro Suda's arm?
His shoulder?
Shoulder, huh! The deltoid would be good too!
But you know, there are parts you have to endure, right?
It's unavoidable that it will be an artificial Yutaro-san scent.
But since Yutaro-san is also human, you have to have the skill to accept that it's artificial and be okay with it, right?
I want to experience it too, ma'am!
Please, I beg for your cooperation.

I'm with the books by my bedside.
Water Margin is, one way or another, almost at the third volume now.
