When 'Yokozuna Sakura Milk' begins, spring is truly just around the corner. At 'Kohiru-an'.

Adding the flavor of cherry blossoms to the usual milk—my way of enjoying this is to have it without any toppings, savoring its fragrance and depth.

“May you have something auspicious happen.”
The lady at the shop always says that, playing on the word 'tai' (sea bream) topped on the shaved ice, and that is wonderful too.

These days, shaved ice with all sorts of visual embellishments inside and out is the mainstream, but I love this simplicity at 'Kohiru-an'; it feels like a solitary, noble ice. Though, there is some fluffy whipped cream hidden inside.

Usually, I'm too busy trying to conquer the limited-time shaved ice flavors to reach the 'milk' series, but I make it a point to have it whenever it's 'Sakura' or 'Rum' season.

The top photo is a tasting portion of shaved ice available for 200 yen. It's a Japanese-style cream with adzuki beans.
They always ask me for the order, but this time I wanted to fully enjoy the 'Sakura' first, so I had them serve the tasting portion afterward.

That was the right choice.
If the order had been reversed, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the delicate flavor of the 'Sakura'.
