How to spend time around Kada Station: Port, En | Medetai Densha Extra Edition 1 ◽︎◽︎◽︎◽︎ Outing with a young train enthusiast #3rd carriage
When riding the Medetai Densha,
if you try to target a specific train car,
the wait time until the return train is too long...!
In that case, please take a look at this.
[Around Kada Station]
☀︎ Lunch at En in front of the station
This is a restaurant that specializes in tsukemen (dipping noodles).
They also have shirasu (whitebait) bowls and chicken mince bowls.
It is a cleverly renovated old folk house,
and both the taste and atmosphere were great; I highly recommend it!

and you eat them with salt, plum, or dipping sauce.
It was delicious~🤤

My children were also completely hooked on the oden.
Also, you can see the trains from the tatami seating area!

I believe there were about 5 tatami tables.
The area in front of the window in this photo is the best spot!
I think you can also see them from the tatami area behind these seats. I feel like it would be hard to see from anywhere else.
We also had soft-serve ice cream on our way home.
☀︎ As for the port area
Our family went to the port side, but the playground equipment on the seaside of Kada Kita no Hama Park was aging, and the slide was closed off.

I think the children would have been happy if they could have played in the sand at the beach.
(It wasn't realistic for us since it would mean more luggage)
☀︎ About Tomogashima
Kada Station is the nearest station to access the boat terminal for the tourist spot called Tomogashima.
I went to Tomogashima before my child was born!
It is a very wonderful spot, but I feel like it would be difficult to visit with small children.
Please note that the information provided in this article may have changed.
Thank you for your understanding.
