I'm Katagiri, representative of Toradish.
The project we've been working on for about half a year is finally being unveiled!! It's a wonderful festival, so please join us!

What is the Mitsu Gion Festival!?
A traditional festival that has been passed down since the Edo period in Akitsu-cho, Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
The highlight is the Daimyo Procession that marches for about 4km!
It is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Higashihiroshima City.

The preservation society members will teach you carefully during the practice sessions, so in the end, anyone can get that passionate festival spirit! (You just need to attend at least one practice session!)

Anyone who wants to have a special experience through the festival is welcome!!

Recruitment: "Yakko-tai" (servant squad) within the Mitsu Gion Festival Daimyo Procession
Date and Time: July 14, 2024 (Sun) 14:00-18:30
Meeting Place: Renkoji Temple Monshinto Hall, Akitsu-cho, Higashihiroshima City
Practice: July 5, 2024, 18:00-19:30; July 6, 7, 17:00-19:00
@ Spain Square, Hiroshima University Campus
Eligibility: Men and women of high school age and older (Capacity: 30 people)
Participation Fee: High school students: 1500 yen, University students: 2500 yen, Working professionals: 5000 yen
*Tax included; participation fees will be donated as festival sponsorship.

Having been involved in many festivals myself, I am convinced that there is a sense of excitement, achievement, and unity that can only be experienced by "participating directly = becoming the one who performs," rather than just watching.
At first glance, it seems like a high hurdle to suddenly become a performer without any blood or local ties, but once you dive in, it's surprisingly doable! Haha
Also, this time, we have made various efforts to lower that hurdle as much as possible, and I will strive to provide maximum support.
I want people from all over the world to experience the "true charm of the festival" that only those who have become performers can understand!!
With that thought in mind, I managed to get this far with the help of many people!
This is my big challenge in my last year of being a teenager!!
