Just Making It Doesn't Mean It Will Sell
I worked so hard to make this, so why isn't it selling?
Content that I spent time on, working late into the night to create
This is my best work!
I thought that when I released it to the world, but
Silence...
I get a few likes here and there, but it never leads to any actual purchases.
I don't know what I should be posting, and
to begin with, how do I get people to buy my product?
Have you ever hit a wall like this while posting?
That was exactly me, too.
If I make something good and post about it properly, someone will find it, and the people who need it will buy it, right?
I thought about it in such a simple way.
The amount of effort I put into making it will surely come back as results.
I had an image of it like a test back in my student days.
But when I actually tried it, it didn't sell at all, which was a shock! Haha.
Just making it doesn't mean it will sell.
I can laugh about it now, thinking, 'Well, obviously,' but
back then, I was seriously depressed.
I felt gloomy for days.
Is there no demand for my product?
Is it because I'm bad at posting?
I thought about a lot of things.
After researching and listening to Addy-san's advice, I realized that
there are so many things you have to think about before you even create the content.
Profile design
Who are you delivering it to?
Content to post
Stock-type vs. flow-type
Steps to purchase
Promotion period
When to start announcing it
...When you list them out like this
Wow, there's so much to do.
It sounds difficult... that's what you'd think, right?
Even I, when I first heard it,
thought it might be impossible.
But to put it very simply,
How do I deliver this to this person and get them to the product?
In the end, it's just a matter of whether or not you think about this beforehand.
When I was posting on pure momentum without thinking about this, I was really just posting whatever came to mind.
Of course it wouldn't reach anyone.
For example, if you suddenly say,
'I made this product! Please buy it!'
that alone won't really get people to take action.
Before that, you need to say things like,
Aren't you troubled by something like this?
Actually, I used to be like this too.
When I thought about it this way, things changed.
You keep posting things that make the person think,
I get it.
I want to know more!
It's not about trying to hit a home run with one shot.
It's like stacking up many small moments of 'I get it.'
And then,
I want to know more

Let's look at the product
↓
Let's try buying it
You build this path properly before releasing the product.
This is the mechanism for selling.
Honestly, it's tedious work.
But if you skip this tedious accumulation and just pop out a product suddenly,
unfortunately, no one will think to buy it.
I learned this the hard way many times before I finally realized it.
After you release content,
if it doesn't sell as you expected,
you get pretty depressed.
I spent time on it.
I worked hard on it.
Those feelings will definitely come up.
I get them every time.
But whether you end it there, or think, 'Okay, what's next?' makes a huge difference in what happens after.
Just because it didn't sell once doesn't mean it's over.
Think about what didn't resonate.
Think about the next strategy.
Try it out.
Adjust again.
It's this repetition.
It's very tedious, right?
Nothing dramatic happens.
But I think only those who keep repeating this can gradually grasp the feeling of selling.
When you hear the word 'strategy,' it sounds difficult, right?
Like marketing or flow design.
When I first heard it, too,
I had no idea what it meant.
I'm still posting while learning.
Thinking, 'What happens if I do this?'
If you try it while learning,
Oh, this part was wrong, huh?
I should have conveyed this part sooner.
You start to understand.
It's not just about learning.
It's not just about posting.
Learn, post, practice, and adjust.
It's this repetition.
If you don't know what to do,
and you're not good at building strategies, that's okay.
Because at first, nobody knows.
Like me, learn while posting and try putting it into practice.
I think that's fine.
If you try it, you will definitely see something.
If it doesn't go well, you can just think about the next step.
It's something you find while doing it.
I don't know what to post.
I made a product, but I don't know how to sell it.
For those people, I want you to try starting small first.
Let's learn and post together.
Beyond that,
you will definitely find your own flow for selling,
thinking, 'Oh, so that's what it is.'
And if you want to learn more deeply about delivering your posts,
Addy-san'sSecrets of UGCis also recommended.
Instead of just trying to deliver it yourself,
think about posts that make someone want to tell someone else.
It will surely give you a new perspective on your future posts.
