1. Making memories with the kids
I planned this family trip with the desire to heal from my personal work fatigue and the wish for my children to make memories. I wanted to be healed by looking at the sea, so I decided on Chiba Prefecture as our destination.
I will introduce four spots that left a particularly strong impression during the trip.
1. Mother Farm | Healing through interaction with animals
The first place we visited was "Mother Farm." You can interact with animals like cows and sheep at close range. Just seeing my children look at, touch, and laugh with the animals made me feel happy naturally.
Walking around the farm on the mountain felt very refreshing. Taking a deep breath under the vast blue sky, I felt my usual fatigue slowly fading away.

2. Haraoka Pier | A pier stretching straight into the sea
After parking the car at Roadside Station Tomiura and walking for 20 minutes, the "Haraoka Pier" stretching straight ahead comes into view. The color of the sea was truly beautiful, and when I looked down, I could see small fish swimming.
This place is apparently famous as an "Instagrammable photo spot." When I actually went there, I felt an even greater calm and quiet charm. The family photo we took here became one of my favorites from the entire trip.

3. Grand Mercure Minamiboso | A luxurious time
Our accommodation this time was "Grand Mercure Minamiboso." The moment we entered the room, the sea was right in front of us, and I felt from the bottom of my heart that I was glad we came.

The dinner buffet featured delicious fish and a wide variety of dishes, which the children absolutely loved. After dinner, we headed to the open-air bath, where we could soak and relax while feeling the sea breeze. It was the ultimate relaxing time.
Just by taking a bath with my children and laughing together in the warm water, I feel like we have become much closer than usual.

4. Nokogiriyama's Jigoku Nozoki (Hell Peek) | A Special Experience in the Mist
It had been raining since early morning on the second day. We moved up our schedule and headed to the Nokogiriyama Ropeway. We climbed the mountain in the rain, but we were enveloped in thick white fog, and visibility was almost zero.
The 'Jigoku Nozoki,' where we should have been able to enjoy a spectacular view, was completely invisible this time. However, the time we spent walking through that mysterious silence is a special memory now.
The moment my child held my hand while worrying about their footing, I felt strongly that the existence I want to protect is right by my side.

2. Time spent with family is a treasure
Every spot was charming, but what remained in my heart even more were the moments I spent interacting with my children. Even if things didn't go as planned or the weather was bad, just laughing together and walking slowly as a family filled my heart.
What I felt strongly during this family trip is that time spent with family is the greatest treasure.
What is truly important is not a 'perfect trip' but the 'time we can spend together as a family.' These are precious moments I don't want to forget. I realized that it is these small events that build family memories.
That is why, in future trips, I want to value creating time that makes the family smile. The time spent with family accumulates little by little in our daily lives and eventually becomes a great source of strength.
After finishing this trip, I intend to treat my time with my family more carefully. This family trip to Chiba Prefecture taught me strongly about the importance of family.
Summary | I want to go on a family trip again
It was a short 2-day, 1-night trip, but I feel from the bottom of my heart that it was a truly wonderful family trip. Interacting with my children lightened my mood and gave me the strength to do my best starting tomorrow.
Through this trip, my desire to go on another family trip has grown stronger. There are still many places I can enjoy with my children. Just thinking about where to go next makes me a little excited.
I hope this article serves as a hint for your own precious family trip.
