#174 What yellow is this yellow, the yellow of curry
Well, the home match against Kashiwa Reysol is tomorrow! Even though it's the last day of Golden Week,
the weather is taking a turn for the worse, but since our opponent is the Sun King, I'm thinking positively that it's a good omen! Our Albirex is currently on a losing streak, but it's also true that we've had a series of away games. Let's raise the momentum to bounce back from scratch at home!
We have already played Kashiwa twice this year in the Levain Cup. We won at home, but suffered a frustrating defeat away. This time it's at home. We must win! Personally, I really want to see Mito-chan's goal soon.
The theme for this home game hype illustration is all aboutgoing all-in on curryIt's because I like Reysol Curry, and I couldn't think of much else regarding Kashiwa City. When I looked up Kashiwa City, it really does seem to be a fierce battleground for curry with many curry shops. Apparently, there is even a free paper called the 'Kashiwa Curry Guidebook.' Honestly, I have never been to Kashiwa City, so I apologize that all my knowledge comes from the internet, but I drew the curry from the famous restaurant Bombay, which comes with a whole tomato on top, and the keema curry from GOOD Curry. I've heard of Bombay myself, but I found GOOD Curry online and thought, 'That looks delicious,' so I drew it on my own; I'm not sure how major it is (sweat). As if to say we will eat our enemies, it seems there will be a Reysol Curry stall on the day of the match, so I plan to eat there!
To counter that Reysol Curry, I've lined up some Niigata curries. First, what Nyapota is holding in his left hand is the Bandai City Bus Center curry! It has been featured on numerous terrestrial TV programs and is now nationwide. I worked part-time at the Bus Center when I was a student, but honestly, rather than the curry, I ate the soba or the rice balls from the shop next door. I never thought it would become popular enough to have lines like this...And placed on the table are VOVO CURRY's 2-combination curry and Sekitori's half-fried chicken (curry flavor). You can also eat the Bus Center curry and VOVO's curry at the stadium. VOVO's butter chicken curry is exquisite, isn't it? The beef is also delicious, but it's too spicy for me, so I'm strictly a butter chicken person.

And then, what I'm holding in my right hand is the retort pouch curry 'Ashita no Curry' supervised by Monko Ichijo. Curry researcher Monko Ichijo, who is very active in the media, is from Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture. She was also on the local Niigata program 'Yachiyo Coaster' today (timely, even if it was a coincidence!).Actually, Niigata Prefecture is the second largest consumer of curry powder in the country. There were times when it was number one, but recently it has been trailing behind Tottori Prefecture... People in Niigata, the land of rice, love curry powder, whether it's making fried chicken curry-flavored or including Sanjo curry ramen in the five great Niigata ramen dishes. There is also a curry shop in Sanjo City called the Spice Research Institute, which I also recommend.
Well, let's win this curry showdown and wrap up Golden Week!
