The day I received an award, my wife's one comment stole the show 😂

Today, I had a little happy event so I'll write about it casually ✨
🏆 Unexpectedly on the 'receiving an award' side
It happened a few weeks ago.
The manager suddenly told me,
'You'll be attending the awards ceremony on 3/16, so please think of a comment~ 😊'
I said,
'...Huh? What awards ceremony?'
Then,
'Toshi-chan, you were chosen. As expected of you.'
No, no, no.
It's too sudden, and I can't keep up with the situation.
Furthermore,
'It's fine to read your comment on the day of, so don't worry~'
Since they said that,
I submitted a comment expressing my gratitude and joy for now.
Then,
'It's perfect! I'll just make a few minor adjustments~'
When I checked the revised version later,
it was almost exactly my own words.
(I felt a little relieved 😌)
🎤 The actual event ended surprisingly quickly
And yesterday.
Apparently, my performance was
considered outstanding according to company metrics, so
I received a certificate of commendation 🏆
And apparently, I'll be getting
some kind of prize later on too. (This part is important 😁)
While connected online with the whole country,
my comments were read out, and it finished successfully.
Since there were other award recipients,
I didn't have to be as nervous as I thought I would be.
To be honest...
"I'd be happier with prize money, though 😂"
was a thought that crossed my mind for a second, but
even so,
being commended is genuinely pleasing.
I mean, a certificate of commendation is
probably the first one since my calligraphy award in elementary school, right?
That's how long it's been.
👩🦰 My wife's reaction is usually the correct one
After returning home,
I immediately showed the certificate to my wife...
"That's great 😊
Since you've been working so hard, Toshi, they were watching you properly."
...She says such nice things.
She continued,
"Where should we put this certificate?
Should we buy a frame and display it?"
Me
"No, no, it's not that big of a deal😂"
At this, we both burst out laughing.
😄A double dose of happiness
Of course, I'm happy to have received the certificate,
but even more than that,
I'm happy that my wife was so thrilled for me.
There's something really nice about moments like this.

After we finished laughing,
my wife suddenly put on a serious face and said one thing.
"Are we getting anything else? Like snacks?"
Me
"Well, I don't know if it's snacks or not, but it seems like I'll be getting something later."
Then,
my wife gives a sly grin😋
...It seems her expectations are clear.
