Hello everyone. This is the 52nd fishing log.
①Christmas party → ②Year-end party → ③New Year's party → This time, having four Tai Rubber trips in a row makes me think about various things whether I like it or not. What I thought about this time is lines.
Looking back, the results of the last three trips are as follows.

While there are various reasons for inducing bites, hooking is entirely a matter of tackle. However, Tai Rubber is a type of fishing that feels like it holds a contradiction—like a fallen angel in a white coat or an angel with broken wings—where you have to hook, but you shouldn't hook.
Regarding the hypothesis of catching fish
Because of that, I came up with the following hypothesis.
1) Conditions for bite occurrence
・X≒Y, and the closer ≒ gets to being equal, the more bites occur
・X = Resistance value that the line and rig receive in the water
・Y = Value generated from retrieve speed. Rod power is also related
How to absorb X with Y.
2) Conditions for hooking
・X1≒Y1, and the closer ≒ gets to being equal, the more successful the hookset
・X1 = Rod power
・Y1 = Fish bite power
If X1 is too strong, it gets deflected; if it's too weak, it doesn't hook
So, could the reason for the success in ② be the rod?
To research based on the above conditions, I first reviewed the line. Why? If "X≒Y, and the closer ≒ gets to being equal, the more bites occur" is correct, I want to make the resistance value of the line X as close to zero as possible because it has a lot of noise. It makes the calculations easier. That's why I researched lines.
W-wait, 10,000 yen... I don't spare expenses for research, but it's a bit strange. And in times like these, I rely on Amazon reviews. I rejected it because there were many reviews saying "It's not that thin."
Regarding line purchase
Next, when I asked my fishing buddies, YGK's D-Tex came up.
Looks good. It's a little under 4,000 yen on Amazon. It's three times the price of the cheap stuff I've been using, but it's within an acceptable range, so I bought it.
I also bought Jigman for the Power Gay Digital Capital.

I'll prepare by winding this onto the Hard Gay. The way it winds, it's definitely thin. The line that was on the Hard Gay until now will be transplanted to the Power Gay, which is scheduled to undergo a sex change to Hard Gay later this month.
I also put a Fishman sticker on it. While I was rewinding the line on the Hard Gay, I noticed a kink (twist in the line) had formed around the 40m mark. I really need to check the line every time I go fishing.

In addition, I also arranged for a super cheap screwdriver to solve the previous loose-fitting problem.
All this for 658 yen. I hate the term 'cost-performance,' but this is the best value for money. It contains enough types of bits that you could probably disassemble a Nintendo Switch in the field.

I don't think these PDCA cycles will ever be optimized, but to get that work close to perfection, you need the strategic nature of intelligence and the logistical strength to be okay with just fishing and buying fishing gear all the time. It's lonely because there seem to be fewer people who can fish with that same mindset. Well, whatever.
Regarding the catch
And so, I'm fully prepared. The result was an unbelievable skunk. I had 4 bites.
1) The tail part of the trailer was bitten off, and that was it

This is pathetic. To give you an idea of how pathetic, there were 10 of us on the boat including me, and we caught a total of 40 fish: 29 red sea bream (the biggest being 4.9kg), 5 searobin, 5 long rough dab, and 1 tiger puffer. I should have caught 4 fish per head, but I was the only one who got a perfect skunk. Getting a skunk in such an easy environment is a miracle in the name of a miracle. It's as painful as shaving my head to look like Beckham and ending up looking like a Garigari-kun popsicle. I want to die.

On top of that, the Decitex line I wrote so much about in the upper section snapped at the hand after hitting the bottom, which is an inexplicable defect. No matter how I think about it, it's strange. I don't know if they'll exchange it, but I'm sending it back to Amazon for now. They'll probably be annoyed that I'm sending back a 150m product with 70m missing... but I really think it's a defective product (sobbing)
So, I was able to get it exchanged. A miracle. However, looking at this situation with the line breaking high up, I don't really want to use it. I mean, an item that's usually 9,900 yen for 3,700 yen—a 62% discount—there's gotta be something up with that...
Summary
・Just as they say there is no such thing as an unexplainable loss, I thought about various things this time, but it seems the head was the cause. Not the color, but the shape. It was a mistake to underestimate the Daiwa Bay Rubber Free. I will bring it next time.
・I was planning to manage my rigs with just one box starting this year, but I'm going to rethink that a bit. Besides the pre-assembled rigs and the head box, I need to prepare a box just for the ties...
