When thinking about who I am now,
I tend to view it through the lens of causality,
that my current state is the result of some cause.

The causes of the past
cannot be changed.

If possible,
try viewing your current state
as something necessary for the future,
as a teleological perspective.

If it is something necessary,
you might be able to have goals or dreams.
