It's not just about having no ideas when you 'can't write' | Increasing the resolution of your worries
Today, I would like to share a story about how I might have increased the resolution of my own inner confusion.
Until now, I have shared prescriptions for those who 'can't write'—that is, measures for myself to ensure I never run out of ideas—but it seems that's not the only factor has been my recent source of confusion.
In other words, I 'cannot write on note.' However, to avoid any misunderstanding, I always have plenty of ideas in stock. Since I decided on the genre I would post about from the moment I opened this account, and I am constantly looking for ideas in my daily life, I don't think my input is low.
However, my problem was that I 'couldn't write.'
So, this time, I would like to share a new perspective and countermeasures for those who are struggling with 'not being able to write' for reasons other than a lack of ideas.
Even though I have ideas I want to write about!
Yes, I have the ideas.
For example, taking 'art reports' as an example, I went to the Isson Tanaka exhibition and the Mucha exhibition last month, and this month I also went to the DIC Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art.
I also want to write a follow-up article for the app game 'Unus,' and there are many other games, anime, and manga that I am overflowing with passion for.
I also looked for projects and found some exciting past tags on the official note.
Wait, then what am I missing?
It is remaining energy.
#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
Some might say, 'Isn't that just time?' but I think it's nearly equal. It's not that I can't say that because I just wrote a paid note about time and money management the other day (lol).
▽ The paid note I wrote just the other day
Perhaps because I spent a long time in sales, I often take a 15-20 minute nap to restart. However, the more passionate I am about an article, the more time I need for research, and the length of the text tends to increase as well.
Yes, the essence of the problem has become much clearer.
There is a gap between the time I have for note in a day and the time it takes to write a passionate note!

Currently, it is the end of the fiscal term for my main job, and my progress on the numbers hasn't been great, so I'm operating at a very high gear every day. The new year has settled down, and my side projects are gradually becoming more active as well.
Of course, given my current priority design, the time I spend writing note will never reach zero, but it seems the current situation is that days continue where I don't have enough time and energy to write notes that require a certain amount of energy.
So, I've thought of a few countermeasures on my own!
How to deal with 'not being able to write' when you have ideas

So, I've thought of a few ways to deal with 'not being able to write' when you have ideas, so I'll summarize them!
Also, although I've written Plan A, B, etc., of course, combining them is also effective!
Plan A: Review your routine schedule
Currently, I have decided to post a paid note once a week and a regular free note every day.
However, regarding the operation of regular notes, I have tried a few times to go a step further and decide 'what kind of content for which day of the week,' but the reality is that it hasn't been going very well.
On days when I have some free time, I try to set aside a longer period for writing notes, or when I'm battling the midnight deadline, I either write a shorter amount or choose a topic I can dash off quickly, like this note.
However, while writing this note, I had a thought.
I will try changing my approach to writing articles that I'm passionate about over the course of several days.
Until now, unless something major happened, my basic rule was to finish writing in a single day.
*Although I have many memo-like fragments in my drafts, it's rare for a manuscript that I've already started writing to remain in my drafts for a long time.
However, the truth is that even as the writer, there are articles where I felt, 'I wanted to increase the level of perfection and release this in a more proper form.'
Of course, I could write a sequel or rewrite them, but being able to think, 'it's okay to have free notes that aren't finished in one day' has made me feel much more at ease.
Plan B: Accept it
Plan B is what I've been doing so far, and it's relatively realistic. While it's true that there are periods where I'm busy for a while, it's safe to say that maximum tension almost never continues indefinitely. *If it did, I would likely suffer from physical or mental health issues first.
While doing the bare minimum of what is absolutely necessary, I accept the situation to some extent and try to catch up little by little when I have a bit of breathing room.
In particular, this pattern is something that, if you record it in a habit tracker, makes it easier to see the cycles and frequency, like 'Oh, I haven't done this in a week, so I should probably get to it soon.'
Plan C: Rethink flexibly
The previous Plan B was about accepting or coming to terms with busyness and circumstances without changing the fact that I write notes.
This Plan C is also a mindset-change approach, but it's about thinking flexibly about the very structure of what I'm doing.
For example, asking, 'why do I want to continue daily posting in the first place?' If the importance of continuing isn't actually that high to me, I think it's okay to start over.
▽ This is an angle I also touched upon in this note
Alternatively, if you still really want to continue, you can keep your streak going with audio posts, photo posts, or short tweets, so adjusting with those kinds of posts is also an option.
However, that said, it's natural to want to write things that you've put your heart into. Even though no one is blaming me, there's a part of me that keeps wondering, 'is it okay to keep just muddling through?' right?
My current frustration was exactly that.
However, in my case, I want to make consistency and habit-building one of the elements of my personal brand, so I have a strong desire to continue daily posting.
So, this was another deep dive into my own frustrations!
If there is anyone else struggling with the same thing, I hope this provides a hint!
