First Time in Asia! 4-Person Family Trip to Bali @Hyatt Regency [No.4]
In 2025, our family of four (including two elementary school students) went to Bali for 8 days and 6 nights!
Except for Dad, it was everyone's first time in Asia! Here is our relaxing trip, while being slightly afraid of 'Bali belly'.
Flight: Garuda Indonesia Business Class
Hotel: Hyatt Regency Bali Suite Room
Day 4
Halfway through the trip. We woke up early again today and spent an hour watching the sunrise.

A common experience for those returning from Bali on Garuda Indonesia
I think, but...
If you check out the day before the final day, you have a long time until your flight!
We were planning to relax in the lounge, but
Garuda Indonesia doesn't allow check-in until 3 hours before the flight...which means, since the flight is at 12:30 AM, we'd be stuck until 9:30 PM, so we didn't know what to do.
If it were just adults, we could leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out and make good use of our time by going for a massage or getting a drink, but...
it's tough with kids, isn't it?.
My daughters, who had been enjoying Bali to the fullest since the morning, would get quiet by the evening, and before we knew it, they were asleep by 8:00 or 9:00 PM, so after talking it over with my husband,we decided to change our checkout time to 8:00 PM.
It cost an extra night's stay, but the hotel staff accommodated us so we could stay in the same room. Thank you so much.
Next time we visit Bali, I'm going to book an extra night!!!
Club Room

The watermelon juice I drank every day!
I drank it in many places, but the Club Room's watermelon juice was the best.

My husband and daughters were hooked on the pancakes and waffles you can have made at breakfast.
They were chewy and delicious.
Some of you might have noticed, but I love the ends of crusty bread! Lol
My family doesn't understand, but there must be someone who can relate.
Eating a hearty breakfast, playing in the sea and pool, doing aerobics...

I got a little hungry, so I ordered a burger and coconut water by the poolside!
It was very reasonably priced for a hotel poolside menu.

Maybe it's because I ate too much at breakfast, but I wasn't hungry at all...
But my husband and daughters seemed to still be hungry, so we got changed and went out for lunch!!!
The place we headed to by taxi is near Icon Bali.
Over the moon
is where we went.
This sign is the landmark!

We went to the cute shop after 2:00 PM, and it was bustling with many customers.

Kids always order drinks that don't go well with meals and just make you thirsty, don't they? lol

It's funny how their tastes differ... lol
I ordered the berry bowl. It was a dish with plenty of fruit on top of a smooth smoothie. The granola mixed in was truly delicious.
All the other items were delicious too!
Some people wrote in Google reviews that it wasn't reasonable, but it was about 4,500 yen for everything.
Over the moon was cool and comfortable inside (rare in Bali), and we were very satisfied with the delicious drinks, food, and prices. It's a shop I definitely want to visit again when I come to Bali.
After the meal, we went to a fashion brand from Bali that was near Over the moon!
Surfer Girl
and bought clothes for my daughters.
We bought T-shirts printed with cute, Bali-esque illustrations. They were 2,200 yen each.

These are T-shirts printed with oil-based ink rather than transfer prints or stickers, and so far, the color hasn't faded despite multiple washes. (Because they are printed with oil-based ink, the illustration area has poor breathability and the fabric is stiff.)
After leaving the surfer girl shop, we went back to
Icon Bali
to pick up some more things. Next to the supermarket on the first floor inside Icon Bali, there is
KRISNA PREMIUM
a souvenir shop for tourists, where we bought gifts to hand out to everyone.
It was a shop where you have to leave your bags with the staff at the entrance..
I had heard that there are several shops where you have to leave your bags when entering a supermarket, but this was the only place we went to where we had to do so.
It was a shop that carried everything from snacks to miscellaneous goods and clothing, and it felt like they had all the standard souvenirs covered.
My daughters also bought keychains sold in bundles and aroma products here.
They said they wanted to eat ice cream, so we went to
Haagen-Dazs
, which we always visit in Guam, but... one cup was about 1,000 yen!!! lol.
I watched silently, wondering if my daughters would still say they wanted to eat it, but they left without buying anything. No wonder it was empty... lol
They said they decided against it because at Massimo, you can get four doubles for 800 yen. Good job, girls!
Since there are no stores in Japan, let's go eat there again when we go to Guam.
We took a taxi back to the hotel, and since I wanted to wash the laundry that had piled up, I decided to try taking it to a
laundromat near the Hyatt with over 700 reviews and a 4.9 rating.
Sunrise Coin Laundry
Honestly, taking it there was the best decision ever!!!
The service was polite and the finish was perfect (they even iron it for you), so you won't have to worry about a mountain of laundry when you get home.
The price was 600 yen for 5kg. The price varies depending on the detergent and fabric softener you choose.
We dropped it off in the evening and it was ready by 12:00 the next day.
If you drop it off in the morning, they will finish it within the same day. There was also an express course, so it's convenient for those in a hurry.
I wish there was a shop like this near my home in Japan too!!!! lol
While we were walking along the Sanur beach walk after dropping off the laundry, we saw a beautiful sky.
We decided to have a drink at a restaurant along Sanur Beach where you can eat while looking at the beautiful sky.
La Playa
The terrace seats on the beach side were broken at the time, so we were only able to sit inside.
It seems they have been repaired and the terrace seats are back now.

The beach walk gets quite crowded in the evening!!!
The restaurants along the beach, in particular, were all popular and packed.
If you want to enjoy a meal with a large group, reservations are a must!
We ordered Bintang beer and Nasi Campur, and spent time slowly gazing at the beach and the sky. Such a wonderful moment...
The beer was 350 yen and the Nasi Campur was under 1000 yen, so it was very reasonable.
My daughters were tired and stayed in the room, so today they also got Warung Kecil to go and ate in the room.
They also had fun eating local cup noodles we bought at the supermarket.

Continuing to Day 5...
