I can't stop, note is too much fun

Hello, I am Tokyo Street PIX/TPIX, a street photographer.

Today, I would like to take some time to think about why note is so much fun and why I end up posting every single day.

I imagine that those reading this article are likely note users, regardless of whether you post articles yourself.

note is a platform where you can share your thoughts, ideas, and daily events, and it has a 10-year history, but I only started using note in March of this year (2024). I am a newcomer.

Besides note, I have a paid plan on X, so I can post long-form content, but I don't really feel the urge to fill X with text, and X has mostly become a personal medium for me to upload photos, just like Instagram.

Now, returning to the topic of note, while it may not be as free as a blog, the advantage is that you can't really fuss over the site's design or structure, and this might be the reason it feels so comfortable.

Also, many of the articles that note randomly (?) suggests from others are quite enjoyable, and even though I should be writing my own note article, I often end up reading other people's posts, which further increases the time I spend on note...

If you like something, you can easily leave a “Like”, and if you write in the comments, many authors will reply to you.

The fact that you can't spread content like on X might be a disadvantage, but there is also the advantage that it is harder to get “flamed”. This might be important.

Also, although I haven't released any paid articles yet, perhaps the biggest point of note is that you can add value and sell your articles.

My note mainly features “photos and cameras” as its content, but since there are many people who are much more knowledgeable and wonderful about the technical aspects of cameras, I use note as an output destination for things I think about while shooting every day.

I'm not very good at writing, but even so, quite a few people read my posts.

The fact that I want to write more when I receive “Likes” or follows is, I believe, due to the “magic of note”.

“Can't stop, won't stop” is not just the exclusive property of “Kappa Ebisen” (a snack), but it also applies to “note”.

Rather than just a distribution tool, “note” is a tool that has made me realize how fun it is to assemble thoughts and feelings into text.

The fact that I, someone who usually gets bored easily, have been able to post every single day without missing a day since I started note in late March 2024 is, I think, the best proof of this.
