Why I have been able to update note for 600 consecutive days

Hello, I am street photographer Tokyo Street PIX / Shu Tsuchiya.

To my surprise, I realized that I have been updating note for 600 consecutive days.

I should clarify in advance that just because I update every day, it does not meanthat I am writing articles every day.

You might not know if I didn't say anything, but there are actually quite a lot of days where I spend my time without worrying about note at all.

For example, there are times when I just want to focus on taking photos, or times when I just lounge around watching YouTube.

To be honest, I have dozens of articles in stock, so even if I didn't write for a month, my updates wouldn't stop, but I find myself opening note and writing before I know it.

As for topics, this account mainly focuses on cameras and photography, so I use that as a base, but I oftentake notes on things that interest me, small questions, or impressions in my daily lifeand expand on those to write my posts.

Also, since I start writing without deciding how it will end, there is a theory that even I, the writer, look forward to seeing how the conclusion turns out (laughs).

Since I was a child, I have been the type to get excited easily and lose interest just as quickly, so I have never been able to keep anything up for long.

For now, I have the guitar that I have been playing since I was a child, but other than that, I have no hobbies that have lasted.

I get obsessed for a moment, but usually I just dabble in it, feel satisfied, and then leave it alone.

Actually, I even quit photography once.

I bought a SONY α330, an A-mount APS-C digital SLR, but it sat sleeping in my dry cabinet for several years.

After that, the α7 ii came out, I bought old lenses, started attaching pancake lenses to take snapshots, and that brings me to where I am now.

I think I will write about why my interest in photography was revived another time, but basically, I am a person who gets bored easily.

So, to get to the main point of why I am able to update every day,

・I found topics I can write about infinitely
・I have reached a point where updating has become "unconscious" rather than a "task"

I think these are the biggest factors.

As you will realize once you actually start writing note articles, writing every day means you need enough topics for the number of days, even if it is just one article per day.

It is fine at first, but after about a month, you start to worry about what to write, eventually run out of ideas, and as a result, your updates stall.

First, it might bea priority to find a genre where you can come up with infinite topicsperhaps.

Generally, it feels like you could write many articles if it is something you like, but I feel that is half right and half wrong.

Regardless of whether you like it or not, if you want to update every day, try looking for topics you can keep writing about.

However, I am sorry to have led the conversation this far, but I believethere is no meaning in updating every day.

People might think, "Wow, that's amazing," but that is as far as it goes.

Finding meaning in updating every day might be up to me, or it might be up to you who is reading this article.

I do not care what people think, but it is becausesomeone like me, who is nobody, can become someone with a bit of name recognition in that circle just by updating note every day.

At the very least, over 1,000 people follow me, and there are many others who, even if they do not follow, regularly come by to leave a "like."

I, who was known by almost no one a year and a half ago, have been able to become known by at least several thousand people.

It is certain that daily updates became a weapon for me, who was known by no one, to be known by more people.

I do not know what lies ahead, but I intend to keep updating note, so please come visit my note from time to time.
