A story about a certain 'number' at Komeda that's sweeter than a Shiro-Noir
Today, I'm going to talk loosely again about why I buy Komeda HD.
Last time, while talking about shareholder benefits, I said something like 'let's go to the other side of bliss,' but
I'm sure you, who read that article, are currently at some cafe thinking
“Shareholder benefits are really great, aren't they?☕️”
or something like that.
Now, today is the continuation of that.
“So, how do companies that give those benefits actually make money?”
I'm going to talk loosely about the behind-the-scenes story.
The star of this show is, of course, Komeda HD.
■ The reason I buy Komeda HD
First, I'll be honest.
Because I want to drink coffee with shareholder benefits☕️
There's no hiding that.
In fact, there's no need to hide it.
No, I'd rather push it to the forefront.
But you know, that's not the only reason I buy Komeda.
As a shareholder benefit investor, there is a 'strength of Komeda' that I really want to talk about.
✅ Komeda HD's strength ①: The profit margin is insane
First, Komeda's ordinary profit margin is 18.3%.
This isn't a number for a restaurant.
In a normal restaurant,
it's a world where it's like, “Profit? It's about as much as a 10-yen coin dropped in our kitchen,”
but Komeda is in a different dimension.
Comparing them,

When lined up like this, only Komeda gives off an atmosphere like the 'honor student of the restaurant world.'
By the way, Yoshinoya HD is 3.9%.
✅ Komeda HD's strength ②: There is a proper mechanism for making money
There is a reason why the profit margin is high.
● Franchise ratio 95%
The headquarters is basically in a 'please, go ahead and run the store' style.
Because fixed costs are light, profits are heavy.
Doutor is around 70%, so
Komeda's 'sense of delegation' stands out.
At this point, the level of this number makes me think it's practically unearned income🙄
The management team must think that if you work, you lose, right?

● High average customer spend
When I looked it up online, there was a huge difference.
Komeda: 1,500 yen
Doutor: 700 yen
Double.
That explains why they make a profit, doesn't it?
“I came here just to drink coffee, but before I knew it, I had eaten a Shiro-Noir and paid 1,500 yen.”
This is the world of Komeda.

■ So, where do I think the interesting points for the stock price are?
Conclusion: Maybe now.
To be honest, the closing price from the day before yesterday is my favorite kind of point.
But I couldn't get the article finished in time.
I'm sorry🙇♂️

Looking at the chart, it was sold off the day after the earnings report.
Even though the earnings were good,
expectations were too high, leading to a “sell-off due to disappointment”😱
Stocks are so human in that way.
However, buying has become dominant since around January 23rd, and
the chart
looks like it's saying, “The RSI is at 24, so it's settling down now.”
✅ Finally
Shareholder benefits aren't just about “yield.”
As I mentioned in my previous article,
“how much richer your life becomes”
is what I believe is the essence.
Drinking coffee with your Komeda shareholder benefits while
grinning and thinking, “This company has an 18% profit margin...”🤤
is a privilege reserved only for shareholders.
And that might just be
“the other side of bliss, chapter two.”
